Generally, a heat insulating layer provided on the outer peripheral curved surface of a cylindrical body such as a support pipe in a heating furnace is formed of refractory castable, but refractory castable has problems in workability and heat insulation effect. In order to solve this problem, a method using ceramic fiber blankets or felt has been proposed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 56-52271, but the method disclosed in this publication also uses blankets or felts that are made into cylindrical pieces one by one. It has to be wrapped around (water-cooled pillars) and laminated, making it extremely difficult to install.Furthermore, it has the disadvantage that it cannot be attached only to a part of the circumference, such as only to the side and bottom surface of a skid pipe. Ta.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the embodiments of the drawings. In Figure 1, insulation module 1
The fiber block 3 is composed of a laminate of a blanket 2 made of refractory heat insulating fiber such as ceramic fiber, and the fiber block 3 is curved in an arc so that the blanket 2 becomes radial. ) 3A. The fiber block 3 is not limited to a laminate formed by folding the blankets 2 in an accordion shape as in the illustrated embodiment, but may also be a laminate formed by simply laminating a large number of blankets or folding them in half. A protective blanket may be provided on the side surfaces of these laminates (for example, the mounting surface 3A and the opposite side surface). The attachment fittings 4 can be attached to the fiber block 3 by known means, such as suitable fixing fittings or adhesives. It is preferable to use a fastener consisting of an elongated beam and a tab at right angles to the center of the elongated beam. By arranging the beam inside the fold of the blanket 2, passing the tab through the blanket, and fixing it to the mounting bracket 4, the bracket 2 and the mounting bracket 4 can be reliably fixed.

The blankets 2 constituting the fiber block 3 usually have a constant thickness, and when this laminate is curved into an arc shape as shown in FIG. 1, gaps tend to occur between the blankets on the outer circumferential side. In order to prevent such gaps from occurring, both the inner and outer circumferences of the fiber block 3 are compressed in the stacking direction. Any means for keeping the fiber block 3 in a compressed state may be used. For example, a string may be passed through the fiber block in the stacking direction and the string may be used to tighten both end surfaces 3B, 3B of the fiber block 3. The outer circumferential surface 3C and both end surfaces 3B, 3B may be covered with cardboard of a predetermined size, and the whole may be tied with a wrapping band. Further, if necessary, bulk fiber blankets may be inserted between blankets on the outer periphery of the fiber block 3 to increase the density.

As shown in FIG. 2, the mounting bracket 4 can slide in engagement with a support bracket 6 that is fixed in advance to a cylindrical body 5 to which the heat insulation module 1 is to be attached.
In the illustrated embodiment, the support metal fitting 6 has a disk and the disk can slide in the groove of the mounting metal fitting 4, but instead of this, the support metal fitting 6 has a groove, and the mounting metal fitting fits inside the groove. It may have a slidable structure.

The heat insulation module 1 having the above configuration has a mounting bracket 4 attached to a support bracket 6 which is fixed in advance to the outer periphery of the cylindrical body 5.
By engaging one end of the fittings 4 and then sliding the fittings 4 in the circumferential direction of the cylindrical body 5, they are attached one after another to form a heat insulating layer surrounding the cylindrical body 5.
In addition, the insulation module 1A installed last
Since it cannot move in the circumferential direction, it is fixed by fixing a bolt 7 to the outer surface of the cylindrical body 5, fitting the mounting fitting 4A to the bolt 7, and tightening the nut 8. After installing the heat insulation modules 1 and 1A, when the means compressing each fiber block 3 is removed, the fiber block 3 expands due to its own elasticity and is strongly pressed against the adjacent fiber block 3.
Forms an insulating layer with no gaps.

Although FIG. 2 shows an example in which the heat insulating module 1 is attached to the entire outer circumference of a cylindrical body 5 having a circular cross section, the heat insulating module 1 is not limited to a cylindrical body having a circular cross section, but may also have an oval or elliptical cross section. It can also be used for cylindrical bodies such as, and it can also be used for only a part of the outer periphery.

As mentioned above, the heat insulating module of the present invention can be extremely easily installed at any position on the outer curved surface of a cylindrical body, and has the advantage of forming a heat insulating layer with no gaps and a high heat insulating effect using fireproof insulating fibers. It has a certain effect.
