[Background technology 1 Is bathroom floor pan etc. generally made of RP? 91"l?L, but the method of manufacturing by molding a sheet molding compound is especially advantageous.Sheet molding compound is made by impregnating fibers with a thermosetting resin such as unsaturated polyester resin and forming a sheet. It is obtained by melting the resin into a resin, and there are almost no restrictions on the structure of the mold because the resin is not used in liquid form during molding, and it is possible to obtain a molded product with high strength.

When molding bathroom floor pans, etc., it is normal to use one type of sheet molding powder, but as shown in Figure 3, for example, stone is used at the base 7 of the floor pan 6. When forming the decorative surface 8 with the grain pattern, it is necessary to overlap and simultaneously mold the normal sheet molding compound for forming the entire floor pan 6 and the sheet molding compound with the stone pattern. . However, when two types of sheet molding compounds are stacked and molded in this way, the resin components of each sheet molding compound seep out to the other sheet molding compound side, and the boundary line r between the decorative surface 8 and other parts becomes irregular. This would greatly impair the appearance and require a great deal of effort to finish. 9 in Figure 3

[Disclosure of the Invention 1 The method for manufacturing a reinforced molded product according to the present invention includes a mold 1
A sheet molding compound 2 is placed inside the cellar 1, and the sheet molding compound 2 is covered with glass 77 and another sheet molding compound 4 is placed on the glass mat 3 for molding. By interposing the glass mat 3 between the two types of sheet molding compounds 2 and 4, it is possible to prevent the resin from seeping out from one sheet molding compound 2 and 4 to the other. The boundaries of the parts to be molded with both sheet molding compounds 2 and 4 are made clear so that they can be separated, and furthermore, both sheet molding compounds 2 and 4 are molded.
The strength can be increased by the reinforcing effect of the glass mat 3 interposed between the mats 3, and the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to examples.

Sheet molding compound (hereinafter abbreviated as SMC) 2, 4 is created by mixing chopped strands of glass fiber with a thermosetting resin such as unsaturated polyester resin and forming it into a sheet. In this embodiment, a normal SMC 4 with no horizontal pattern is used to form the main body of a bathroom floor pan 6, and a stone pattern is provided with a stone pattern to form a pattern part 8 of a washing area 7 of the floor pan 6. Enter SM
C2 is used. The stone pattern can be formed as a flow pattern of the coloring component contained in SMC2.

First, as shown in FIG.
Place and set the SMC2 with stone pattern on the
A glass mat 3 is placed on top of the glass mat 3, and the upper side of the SMC 2 is covered with the glass mat 3, and a horizontally free SMC 4 is further placed on the upper side of the glass mat 3. Thereafter, the upper mold 1b of the mold 1 is clamped onto the lower mold 1a, and molding is performed by heating while applying pressure. By performing heating and pressure molding in this manner, the main body of the floor pan 6 is formed from the hardened layer of SMC4, as shown in FIG. 1(c).
A molded product having a patterned surface 8 formed with the cured layer of C2 can be obtained, and the patterned portion 8 is laminated onto the floor pan 6 via the glass mat 3. When performing molding in this way, as shown in Figure 1(b), the SMC2
is covered with the glass mat 3, to prevent the resin of SMC2 from protruding toward the SMC4 side as shown by the arrow in FIG. 1(b), or conversely from the resin of SMC4 protruding toward the SMC2 side. This makes it possible to prevent the boundary @1 of the pattern surface 8 caused by the SMC2 from becoming unclear.

FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which a glass mat 3 is slightly impregnated with a resin and cured to form a preform 7t'C, and this is applied to the lower mold 1a of the mold 1. The glass mat 3 is set as shown in FIG. 2(a) in a state where it is locked to the protrusion 12 provided, so that the SMC 2 placed in the recess 11 of the lower mold 1a is covered with the glass mat 3. In this one, S
The seepage of resin from MC2 and MC4 can be further reduced. In addition, in this case, a protrusion 12 provided on the lower mold 1a
Then, a drainage groove 13 can be formed in the floor pan 6 as shown in FIG. 2(b).

[Effect of the invention 1 As described above, in the present invention, a sheet molding compound is set in a mold, and the sheet molding compound is covered with a glass mat,
Since molding is performed with another sheet molding compound placed on top of the glass mat, the glass mat interposed between both sheet molding compounds prevents resin from seeping from one sheet molding compound to the other. This makes it possible to clearly define the boundary line between the parts to be molded using both sheets of molding compound, and also increases the strength of the molded product by reinforcing and curing the glass mat interposed between both sheets (-molding compound). It is something that can be improved.
