Generally used as a lens cleaner for glasses, camera, etc.
There are those made of flexible cloth such as flannel and velvet, and those made of flexible leather such as backskin. The former is superior in terms of ease of wiping, but it is difficult to remove human hand oil that has adhered to the lens. In order to improve this problem, flexible cloths have been treated with wiping agents such as silicone resin, but the treatment is complicated and costly, and the effects are still not satisfactory. In addition, the latter one made of backskin etc. is quite effective in removing hand oils adhering to lenses, since backskin etc. are easily compatible with hand oils. However, since it is highly extensible and stretches too much when wiping the lens, it poses a problem in terms of ease of wiping.

The purpose of this invention is to provide a lens wipe that is highly effective at removing hand oil and is easy to wipe.It is equipped with a base fabric and a leather pile that has been flocked to the base fabric and defibrated. The gist is a lens cleaning method that uses the flocked surface as a lens cleaning surface.

The base fabric used in this invention is not limited in any way. As long as it has appropriate flexibility and waist,
Its use is free. However, from the perspective of eliminating the slippage of hands when wiping, anti-slip resin is applied to the entire or part of the surface opposite to the leather pile flocking surface (including in some cases where many small areas are scattered). It is desirable to use a material that has been treated with a non-slip liquid (for example, rubber-based or synthetic resin-based resin liquid). It is also possible to use one whose entire surface is treated with anti-slip rubber resin, synthetic resin, etc., and to have leather pile flocked on one side thereof.
Furthermore, the leather pile (leather fiber) that is flocked to this base fabric is not limited in any way, but it should be noted that it comes into contact with the lens with a soft touch and does not damage the lens, especially the plastic lens. , it is desirable to use leather pile with a grain size of 24 mesh or less. The most desirable particle size is 42 mesh or less. A known method, for example, electrostatic flocking, is used for the flocking. Further, the flocked leather pile is carefully defibrated by using a sandpaper roll or a brush roll, either as it is or after fattening, by bringing these rolls into rotational contact with the flocked surface of the leather pile. In this way, the leather pile is defibrated into a particularly soft fuzz-like form, which is extremely effective in preventing damage to the lens and expanding the contact area during cleaning. Note that a wiping agent such as silicone resin may be used on the wiping surface of the lens wiping device of this invention. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the base fabric may be subjected to anti-slip treatment after flocking.

As shown in Figure 1, the lens wiping device of this invention is highly effective at removing hand oils because the lens wiping surface consists of a flocked leather pile surface 1 that is highly compatible with hand oils. In addition, since the flocked surface 1 is formed on the surface of the base fabric 2 which is not very stretchable, it is easy to wipe the lens without excessive stretching. In particular, as shown in FIG. 2, each leather pile 3 on the lens wiping surface is defibrated into a multi-haired shape, so that when wiping the lens, the leather piles 3 come into contact with the lens surface and open in a tufted shape. As a result, the contact area of the leather pile with the lens is increased, making it much easier to remove hand oil compared to flexible leather such as backskin. It will disappear. In other words, the surface of flexible leather such as backskin is
As shown in the figure, it has a wavy shape, and short linear fluff is sparsely planted from its surface.
During wiping, the crests of the waveform and the fluff mainly come into contact with the lens. Therefore, the contact area is not as large as in the lens wiping device of this invention, and therefore, it is considered that the cleaning performance is inferior to that of the lens wiping device of this invention.

[Example 1] Cutting waste skin obtained by shaving the back side of tanned cowhide was crushed using a conventional pile cutter consisting of a combination of a fixed blade and a rotating blade. Next, this material was passed through a 24-mesh sieve, and a yellow metal-containing dye (trade name: Acidol Yellow 3GL, manufactured by BASF) was applied to the passed through sieve in an amount of 3% based on the weight of the leather pile (leather fiber). , dyed in a so-called natural color. Dyeing was carried out at 40° C. for 30 minutes with gentle stirring at a bath ratio of 1:20. After dyeing, it was filtered, dehydrated, and washed with water in a filter tank while discharging water. Then, it was dehydrated by centrifugation,

Then, after baking at 150℃ for 3 minutes,
The fibers were defibrated using a brush roll, and excess non-adhesive leather fibers were removed by brushing, suction, etc. to obtain the intended lens wiping material. When this lens wipe was used to wipe an eyeglass lens that was extremely dirty with hand oil, the lens surface was completely wiped after wiping several times. In addition, since the lens cloth was provided with appropriate flexibility and firmness due to its base fabric, the cleaning work was easy.

[Example 2] Instead of passing through a 24-mesh sieve, a 42-mesh sieve was passed, and the back surface of the base fabric was treated with a rubber-based resin liquid to prevent slipping. A lens wipe was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 except for the above. This lens wiper had better cleaning performance than that of Example 1, and because the back surface of the base fabric was non-slip, it was easy to handle and the cleaning workability was further improved.
