When installing these devices in a room in a general household, for example, a 6 to 8 tatami room, conventionally each had to be installed separately, and from an electrical work point of view,
Each cord cap has to be plugged into a separate outlet, which is not only very cumbersome, but also requires double installation work, and also spoils the aesthetics (interior). Furthermore, these devices are often used in a wall-mounted form in order to use a large floor space. In this case as well, in order to mount the two devices separately, mounting metal fittings, nails, etc. must be unnecessarily attached. In addition, there is a lack of uniformity in terms of design, and two similar devices (which have the common function of circulating indoor air to improve the living space environment) are placed on the wall. Providing them separately is not aesthetically pleasing either.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, in order to circulate indoor air smoothly, the discharge port and suction port (at least the discharge port) of these two devices should be made common.
Alternatively, it is preferable to place them close together so that the airflows of each device do not cancel each other out.

On the other hand, when comparing the characteristics of these two types of ventilation systems, (a) the air conditioner has a relatively large amount of air, and the ventilation resistance is mainly due to the heat exchanger, and its value is relatively small. Therefore, it is desirable for the blower to have a larger air volume than the static pressure.

(b) Contrary to the above, since air purifiers mainly include air filters, the ventilation resistance is relatively large, and the circulating air volume does not have to be as large as that of air conditioners. For this reason, it is desirable that the blower be of a type that can maintain a large amount of static pressure with a moderate amount of air.

In any case, it is not very desirable to separately install two similar devices in a small living room. It is desirable to incorporate functions and share installation work, electrical work, ventilation mechanisms, etc.

Embodiment An embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 1 to 7. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a housing, in which two suction ports 2 and 3 are provided side by side in the lower part of the front surface, and one wide discharge port 4 is formed in the upper part of the front surface. Inside the housing 1, two air channels 6 and 7 are formed by a partition wall 5 provided between both suction ports 2 and 3.
(FIG. 3), these air passages 6 and 7 communicate at the upper part and share the discharge port 4. Fans 8 and 9 are provided above each of the air passages 6 and 7, respectively, and these fans 8 and 9 are respectively attached to output shafts of one motor 10 that protrude on both sides. A filter 18 is provided in one of the air passages 6, and a heat exchanger 11 is provided in the other air passage 7, facing the suction ports 2 and 3, respectively. The filter 18 is
In general, it is capable of removing airborne dust (particulate matter with a particle size of 10μ or less, such as cigarette smoke). Filters for dust removal and deodorization may be provided one on top of the other. The heat exchanger 11 is of a heat pump type or the like, and the heat pump body including the compressor is not shown.

Operation In FIG. 3, FIG. 6A, and FIG. 7A, both the air cleaning function and the heating/cooling air conditioning function are working, and the damper 12 is closed. Indoor air is sucked in from both suction ports 2 and 3. Each suction port 2,
The air flowing in from 3 is purified by a filter 18 or heat exchanged by a heat exchanger 11, and then combined and discharged into the room from a discharge port 4.

In FIG. 4, FIG. 6B, and FIG. 7B, only the air cleaning function is working, and the damper 12 is open. In this case, air flows in only from the suction port 2 on the filter 18 side and is discharged from the discharge port 4.

The damper 12 is opened and closed by a motor 14 based on a signal from a sensor 15. In other words, if the indoor air becomes polluted due to cigarette smoke, etc., the sensor 15
is detected and the damper 12 opens.

The reason for operating the damper 12 in this manner is as follows. Generally, the filter 18 is capable of removing fine particles, and it is desirable to use a blower that has relatively large ventilation resistance (pressure loss) and generates large static pressure. The heat exchanger 11 used for heating and cooling has lower ventilation resistance than the filter 18. However, in order to perform heating or cooling quickly, it is desirable to have a large amount of airflow. From these points of view, when the indoor air is not very polluted, the heating and cooling function is mainly used, and when the indoor air becomes polluted, the air purification function is put into operation.

It operates in this way, but since it incorporates both the means for obtaining air purification function and the means for obtaining air conditioning within one housing 1, it is possible to install two separate devices with each function. Compared to the previous version, parts can be shared, fewer parts are required, and the installation work (installation work, electrical work, etc.) is only needed for one unit, making it easier to perform. Moreover, since it is contained in one housing 1, when this is installed, a living room with excellent aesthetic appearance can be realized from an interior aspect. In addition, one with two air circulation functions can be used.
Since it is housed and installed in one housing 1, there is uniformity in indoor air circulation, efficient indoor air circulation, and a comfortable environmental condition is easily maintained. Moreover, since the outlet 4 for the air passing through the filter 18 and the air passing through the heat exchanger 11 are common, both types of air are mixed inside the machine and exit, thereby providing comfortable air conditioning. (If the two are installed separately, the air from each outlet will be mixed indoors, so in the case of heating, for example, the air from the filter will be cold air and comfortable heating will not be obtained.) ,
Since the two functional means are integrated into one housing, there are common parts, so the overall volume of the device can be kept compact, and it can be used as widely as possible even in a small room. Further, by providing a switching means for both functions, the functions of the device can be effectively exhibited depending on the environmental condition of the room at that time, and a comfortable environment can be maintained efficiently. Moreover, since the switching means (damper 12) is automatically operated by the sensor 15, a comfortable living environment can be realized efficiently and without any hassle.

FIGS. 8 and 9 show a second embodiment.
In this example, a suction port 22 is provided at the bottom of the housing 21.
One discharge port 23 is provided in the upper part of each of the discharge ports 23. A partition plate 25 is provided in the center of the housing 1, and a filter 18 is placed between the partition plate 25 and the front wall.
A heat exchanger 11 is disposed between the heat exchanger 5 and the rear wall.
The area from the bottom surface of the filter 18 to the suction port 22 is the first air passage 6-2, and the area from the bottom surface of the heat exchanger 11 to the suction port 22 is the second air passage 7-2. 6-2 and 7-2 are gathered at the upper surface of the filter 18 and the heat exchanger 11 and continue to the discharge port 23. A fan 26 is arranged in the collective air path portion. A damper 27 serving as an air path switching means is attached to the lower end of the partition plate 25 so as to be rotatable around a horizontal support shaft 28. 29 and 30 are stoppers that engage with the damper 27. The damper 27 is
It is connected to a manual switching knob 28 protruding from the side surface of the housing 21. SW is a switch for opening and closing the power supply for the motor of the fan 26.

The air conditioner with an air purifying function of the present invention has an air purifying function and a heating/cooling function, and can reduce the number of parts and simplify the installation work compared to the case where two devices each having these functions are installed. , improved circulation efficiency,
Space saving and improved appearance can be achieved. Furthermore, air purification and heat exchange require different blowing performance, but since there are separate air paths, appropriate air blowing can be performed for each. Since the discharge port is common, the air that has undergone heat exchange and air purification is mixed and discharged.
This has the effect of providing comfortable air conditioning without temperature variations.
