These are tableware made of cast iron with a synthetic lacquer (e.g. polysite) applied to the surface. This paint is heat resistant enough to be heated with a strong gas fire, and is compliant with tableware hygiene regulations. Since it has passed the above test, it is used in many restaurants such as plates for beefsteak.

In addition, tableware made of cast aluminum and coated with a special glaze to have a ceramic-like smooth surface with good heat conductivity, ie, aluminum tableware, is also used.

Problems to be solved: Tableware made of cast iron has the disadvantage of being heavy and difficult to handle, and tableware made of cast aluminum with a glaze for aluminum has low heat resistance, so it must be heated over a strong direct gas flame. The drawback was that I couldn't do it.
For example, an increasing number of restaurants are adding flavor to their dishes by placing beefsteak on a heated iron plate and bringing it to the customer's table making a sizzling sound.

At this time, the waitress must gently place the heavy cast iron plate on the customer's table with one hand, and then lift it when clearing.

This work is quite taxing for waitresses, and there is a growing demand for ways to reduce the weight of beefsteak plates without damaging their texture.

Means to solve the problem Reducing the weight will solve the problem, so we solved this problem by making it possible to use the same paint used on iron tableware on cast aluminum tableware. I thought of solving it. That is, by spraying iron or the like onto the surface of an aluminum casting 1, a sprayed metal layer 2 is formed.
This is done by applying paint 3, the same paint used on iron plates for beefsteak, to the surface.

Function: Aluminum castings can be made to have the same casting surface as iron castings, and the sprayed iron layer can be deposited as thin as 10 to 100μ, making the appearance of the castings similar to iron castings. done.

The color and luster of the surface are the same as those used for iron plates, such as Polysite S-270 (manufactured by Saito Co., Ltd.).
By using materials such as these, it was possible to create the same texture as iron tableware.

Furthermore, before thermal spraying, the surface of the aluminum casting can be roughened by sandblasting or the like to increase the degree of adhesion of the sprayed metal.

Also, when rapidly heating and cooling, there is a difference in the degree of expansion between aluminum and iron, so if necessary, it is possible to spray a metal with an expansion coefficient between that of aluminum and iron to prevent the iron layer from peeling off. .

Example: When aluminum casting 1 was made using an iron casting beefsteak plate weighing more than 1 kg that was used in a restaurant as a matrix and its weight was measured, the aluminum casting 1 was 400 g and the amount of coated iron sprayed metal layer 2 was 25 g. It was hot. The appearance of the beefsteak plate, which was baked and coated with Paint 3, ie, Polycyte S-270 (manufactured by Saito Co., Ltd.), was almost the same as that made of iron.

Also, when I actually used a knife to eat food, I found that the surface of the cast aluminum was hardened by a layer of iron, so it didn't get scratched, and the paint didn't come off. Also, even though it was heated with a strong gas flame, no peeling occurred, giving us confidence that it could withstand use.

Effects of the invention This invention is a tableware that is finished by thermally spraying a metal harder than aluminum, such as iron, on the surface of an aluminum casting to create a highly hard protective film, and then painting a heat-resistant paint on top of it. , suitable for use as a dish for beefsteak. The metal sprayed layer is porous and has 10 to 20% gaps, so it is coated to fill in these gaps and small depressions on the surface to prevent oxidation due to moisture intrusion and to prevent dirt from attaching. . In other words, the reason why heat-resistant paint is applied to the metal sprayed layer is to prevent the metal sprayed layer from rusting, smooth the surface, prevent dirt from entering, and prevent the metal sprayed layer from peeling off due to oxidation of the aluminum casting. . In general, plate-shaped thin aluminum castings contain Si, Cu,
is added as an alloy component, and Mg, Mn, Zn,
It contains impurities such as Fe, and its corrosion resistance is poor.

On the other hand, since the sprayed metal layer that coats the surface of the aluminum casting is porous, water that permeates through the sprayed metal layer reaches the surface of the aluminum casting, causing aluminum, which has a greater tendency to ionize, to react with the water. Aluminum hydroxide and hydrogen are generated, causing so-called oxidative corrosion and causing peeling. Therefore, in order to prevent these problems, the metal sprayed layer is coated with a heat-resistant paint. The tableware made in this way has a metal coating made of a metal spray layer that is harder than aluminum, so the surface of the tableware is as hard as iron, but since the inside is cast aluminum, it is heavier than those made of cast iron. It is very light at less than 1/2. Furthermore, by spraying a metal spray layer on the surface of the aluminum casting, which is harder than aluminum such as iron, when used as a beefsteak plate, even if you cut the meat on the plate with a knife, the aluminum casting is a hard metal. Because it is protected by a sprayed layer, there is no risk of denting or scratching the aluminum casting.
In addition, when using this dish as a beefsteak dish, the dish is heated to 200-300°C over an open gas flame each time, but the heat-resistant paint layer and the sprayed metal layer, which is harder than aluminum such as iron, can withstand this heating. to protect the inner aluminum casting. In this way, compared to cast iron tableware, the tableware of the present invention can be less than half the weight while maintaining the same hardness and heat resistance, making it easier to handle when carrying and cleaning, and prevents rust. Peeling can also be prevented.
