In general, intermittent recording devices sequentially record a plurality of input signals using one recording head, and can be broadly classified into servo type and raster scan type depending on the driving principle of the recording head. The servo method performs a servo operation on each input signal that is applied sequentially to perform dot recording, etc., and the raster scan method scans the recording head once or several times over the entire recording width. During this time, when the recording head passes through a position corresponding to the magnitude of the input signal, dot recording and the like are performed for each input signal. However, in such a recording device, the time interval at which the recording operation is performed is constant, so changing the feeding speed of the printing paper changes the dot spacing on the printing paper, especially when the feeding speed is slowed down. This method has the disadvantage that the dot spacing becomes narrow, the dots overlap, and the ink bleeds, resulting in a decrease in recording quality.

The recording apparatus of the present invention employs intermittent feeding as a recording paper feeding means, and is configured to perform one recording operation when a unit amount of paper feeding is completed. The recording operation is performed once, and the interval between dots is always constant regardless of the feeding speed of the recording paper. Furthermore, the paper feeding speed is set by changing the period for feeding the paper by a unit amount, thereby making the setting easy.

The operation of the recording apparatus of the present invention configured as described above will be explained as follows using the waveform diagram of FIG. In FIG. 2, a is the reference clock CL,
b is the output pulse signal SP of the programmable pulse generator 2, c is the output DR of the frequency divider 3, and d is the motor
The timing for driving the PM, e, indicates the timing for performing intermittent recording operations. now,
If the period of the reference clock CL is 1 second, the setting value of the setting signal SET is N, and the division ratio of the frequency divider 3 is 1/1800, the programmable pulse generator 2 can generate N output pulses SP every second. The period T of the output DR of the frequency divider 3 that divides this output pulse SP is
is T≒1800/N (sec) (1). Therefore, the motor quantitative drive circuit 4 drives the motor PM intermittently at a period T, and assuming that the amount of paper feed per time is 0.5 (mm), the average amount of paper feed is 0.5 (mm). The feed speed V is V≒0.5x1/T=0.5xN/1800=N/3600 (mm/sec) (2
) becomes. As is clear from this equation, the feeding speed V of the recording paper can be arbitrarily set in units of (length/time) by the setting signal SET of the programmable pulse generator 2. Here, the period T of feeding the recording paper has a variation within one clock, that is, one second, but this variation is canceled out by averaging over a sufficiently long period, and no error occurs.

また、記録紙送りの動作終了は記録制御回路5

Also, the recording control circuit 5 terminates the recording paper feeding operation.
The recording control circuit 5 causes the recording control circuit 5 to perform a predetermined recording operation every time a unit amount of paper feeding is completed. Therefore, if the paper feeding period T is shortened in order to increase the paper feeding speed, the recording operation period will also be shortened accordingly, so that the dot interval is always kept at a constant value.

In addition, in the above explanation, reference clock CL
The frequency division ratio of the frequency divider 3 and the unit feeding amount of the recording paper are arbitrarily set, and the optimum combination is selected depending on the paper feeding speed.
Furthermore, all of the circuits shown in the figure, from the reference clock generator to the motor quantitative drive circuit and recording control circuit, can be constructed with digital circuits, and these functions can be performed by a microprocessor or the like. It is possible.

As explained above, in the recording apparatus of the present invention, the recording paper is fed intermittently by a fixed amount, and a predetermined recording operation is performed every time one paper feeding is completed, so that the recording paper is A recording device with a constant dot interval regardless of the feed speed can be realized with a simple configuration. Further, since the recording paper feeding speed changes according to the settings of the programmable pulse generator, the paper feeding speed can be arbitrarily set in units of (length/time).
