In automobile factories, in order to make the entire car body the same color tone, the doors are attached to the body before painting, and then the seats and other parts are installed inside the body. Since it would be difficult to do interior work if left as is, the door is first removed and interior work is done, and then the door is reinstalled. This kind of door attachment/detachment work is done as assembly line work while the body is being transferred, but since the door is quite heavy, conventionally it has been done on the body transfer line using a carrier running line that moves parallel to the body while maintaining a fixed positional relationship. A hanger on which the door is placed is introduced onto a rail provided on the carrier by a running roller, the height of the rail is adjusted by a lifter provided on the carrier, and a door support on the hanger is installed. The hanger had to be manually rotated so that the rail was facing in the direction suitable for attaching and detaching the door to the body. Therefore, in the past, it was not possible to quickly respond to changes in the door installation/removal position, and in order to synchronize and move the door hanger to a predetermined relative position with the body for door installation/removal, it was necessary to specify a part of the door hanger to the body. If the height of the door hanger was inappropriate when engaged with the part, there was a risk of damaging the body.

In order to lock the hanger rod 40 at a position parallel to the moving direction of the conveyor 1 and at an angular position suitable for attaching and detaching the door, a circular protrusion 49 protruding from the hanger boss portion 39 is attached to the center at approximately 65 degrees as shown in FIG. Two grooves 50 are provided at corners, and a lock lever 51 is pivotally supported at the lower part of the lifting frame 21 (sixth groove).
(Fig.), when the hanger 15 is rotated, the tip of the lock lever 51 is configured to engage one of the grooves 50 due to its own weight. String 52 to unlock
All you have to do is subtract . In addition to manually rotating the hanger 15,
As shown in FIG. 7, an electric cylinder 53 can be horizontally rotatably supported on the lifting frame 21, and its rod can be connected to an arm 54 projecting from the boss portion 39 for electric rotation.

In the door attachment/detachment section of the conveyor 1, the carrier 8 is kept in a constant position relative to the body 2 and travels synchronously. For this purpose, the hanger 15 is rotated in the diagonal direction of 65 degrees (Fig. 1), and the clutch of the motor 7 is rotated. When the body 2 is cut and waiting, the locking metal fitting provided on the hanger of the body 2 is connected to the end fitting 5 of the hanger 15.

Next, the installation work of the door 43 will be explained. First, the hanger 15 supporting the door 43 moves by itself and stops at a predetermined position to wait for the arrival of the body 2. body 2
When the conveyor 1 brings the hanger 15 to a predetermined position, the hanger 15 is rotated 65 degrees and locked manually or by the electric cylinder 23, and the clutch of the travel motor 7 is disengaged. When the hanger end fitting 55 hits a predetermined location on the body 2, the carrier 8 is pushed by the body 2 and moves forward. Then, by operating a button, the electric cylinder 27 is activated to raise the hanger 15. When the stop metal fitting 56 fixed to the hanger 15 hits a predetermined location on the body 2 as it rises, the electric cylinder 27 stops. In this case, the spring 26 of the lifting frame 21 prevents the body 2 from being damaged. In this state, the door 43 is moved forward manually and the hinge fitting 57 is attached to the door 43 with bolts.

After the installation is completed, the hanger 15 is lowered, then reversely rotated to disengage from the body 2, and the clutch of the travel motor 7 is engaged to move the carrier 8 forward and away. Note that the removed door 43 is transferred to a hanger on a door attachment transfer line by a lifter (not shown).

FIG. 8 shows the layout of the work section for attaching and detaching the front door 43a and rear door 43b to the same body 2. The carrier 8a circulates freely along the oval conveyor 3a, and is moved to the hanger by the lifter 58. Loading and unloading is carried out at the door. The body 2 moves at a constant speed in the direction of the arrow, and the carrier 8a starts from point A, travels synchronously with the body 2 from point C, and completes the work of attaching and detaching the front door 43a by the time it reaches point D. carrier 8a
Before the carrier 8b reaches point D, the next carrier 8b starts at high speed from point B, and when carrier 8a reaches point D, it reaches point F, which is before it, and from there it runs in synchronization with body 2 to point G. The attachment/detachment work of the rear door 43b is completed during this period. The worker who has finished attaching and detaching the front door 43a at point D returns to point F and starts attaching and detaching the rear door 43b. The distance between D and F should be at least 3m for safety. Rear door 4 at point G
After finishing the work of attaching and detaching the door 3b, the worker returns to point C and attaches and detaches the next door of the body 2. It is assumed that the walking time between G and C is included in the time required for attaching and detaching the front door 43a, and that one worker is required to attach and detach the front and rear doors on one side of the body 2.

In the present invention, as described above, the hanger is lifted and lowered and rotatably suspended on the carrier that runs on its own along the door transport conveyor for attaching and detaching the door. Therefore, the position of attaching and detaching the door can be changed freely, saving labor and the work of attaching and detaching the door. In addition to improving efficiency, even when the carrier engages with the body to run in sync with the body, and even when the two are running in sync, even if the vertical relationship between the two changes slightly, this change is absorbed by the spring and the body moves. There is no damage to the door, and the door can be held in the optimum position relative to the body when attaching and detaching. It also makes it easier to carry the removed door and the installed door in, making it easier to attach and detach hinges, etc. This has the effect of automating the door installation/removal work for different vehicle models, except for departmental work.
