BACKGROUND ART Foods and confectionery that are rolled into a roll, such as a roll cake, are usually manufactured by cutting a strip into a predetermined size and then winding it into a roll. However, at this time, simply cutting the strip-shaped object poses a problem in automating the roll-winding process, and there is a need for improvement.

For example, roll cakes are manufactured by rolling baked sponge cakes, but it is difficult to start rolling.
For this reason, although sponge cakes are usually baked in a band oven, they are rolled by hand after baking.

In addition, in order to continuously cut the sponge cake to a predetermined size and then roll it mechanically or automatically instead of manually, a considerable distance must be formed between each cut sponge cake. However, when cutting continuously on a belt conveyor, the sponge cakes are close to each other even after cutting, making it difficult to maintain this distance.

The purpose of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and specifically, for example, when cutting a sponge cake, it is possible to cut the sponge cake automatically so that there is no problem when winding it into a roll shape, and furthermore, it is possible to cut the sponge cake before and after cutting. A cutting device is proposed in which the distance between them can be adjusted as desired.

That is, the present invention comprises one transport track for transporting a strip of confectionery, food or their dough, and another transport track connected downstream of this one transport track for transporting the strip. The transport speed of one transport track is set to be faster than the transport speed of the other transport track, and a cutting blade for cutting the strip to a predetermined length is provided on one transport track, and a side surface of this cutting blade is provided. The present invention is characterized in that a folding pressing piece is provided projecting from the strip-shaped article to form a folding line approximately parallel to the cutting line thereof.

each indicates a transport track such as a belt conveyor. These transport tracks are usually constructed from a belt conveyor or the like, but they can be constructed from any system other than a belt conveyor as long as the sponge cake or other strip-like material can be transported continuously.

Next, among these two transfer tracks 1 and 2, the transfer speed of the transfer track 2 on the downstream side is set to be faster than the transfer track 1 on the upstream side. That is, the downstream transfer speed is set higher than the upstream transfer speed, and the cutting blade 3, which can be raised and lowered, is disposed on the upstream transfer track 1, for example. Therefore, the strips 4 such as sponge cakes that are continuously fed are cut into predetermined lengths by the vertical movement of the cutting blade 3, but the cut sponge cakes 4a are sequentially transferred to the upstream transport track. 1
The sponge cakes 4a are then sent to the transfer track 2 on the downstream side, and at this time, since the transfer speed of the transfer track 2 is high, the spacing between the sponge cakes 4a is increased, so that processing such as rolling can be easily performed. Note that since the transfer speeds of the two transfer tracks 1 and 2, which are made up of belt conveyors, are different from each other, it is preferable that the belt conveyor or the transfer track 2 is configured to be movable in the horizontal direction.

Next, a pressing piece 5 is provided protruding from the side surface of the cutting blade 3 on the upstream transfer track 1, and the pressing piece 5 forms a fold line 6 as a recess approximately parallel to the cutting line 4b of the sponge cake 4a. (See Figure 2). This pressing piece 5 can be configured in any way as long as the folding line 6 can be formed on the sponge cake 4a, but usually the cutting blade 3 and the pressing piece 5 are configured as one piece, and the pressing piece 5 is smaller than the tip 3a of the cutting blade 3. The tip 5a of is configured to be short.

That is, since the folding line 6 is formed on each sponge cake 4a as shown in FIG. 3a at the same time as the cutting, the tip of the sponge cake 4a is aligned along the folding line 6 as shown in FIG. 3b during rolling. It can be easily folded back. Therefore, the sponge cake 4a can be automatically and easily rolled up using a machine or the like, as shown in FIG. To explain in more detail, when a sponge cake or other confectionery or food product is rolled into multiple rolls, the work is difficult because there is no core at the beginning of the roll, and this work is generally done by hand. However, as described above, if the core is formed by folding the core along the folding line in advance, it can be rolled very easily, and automation and mechanization of the work can be achieved.

Although the invention was explained above with a focus on sponge cakes, it can also be applied to confectionery and general foods other than sponge cakes, including:
It can be applied to any material as long as it is folded along the folding line formed by the pressing piece and the folded portion as a core is formed without cutting.
