本案はオートバイに乗つて時速250Kmにも及ぶ
急スピードで走る場合、S字状のカーブ等にさし
かかつた際、ブレーキにより応急減速するもので
あるが、減速度は火急に充分でなく、車体は横方
向に半倒状となり、傾倒側の靴の外側面が路面に
激突摺摩するもので、此の際適度の摩滅度と硬度
とをもつて、緩衝することの出来る状態を該靴の
外側面に付与し、靴自体の該部の破損を免れると
共に、足先部に対しての路面への激突を緩衝出来
ると共に、走行バランスを保持することが出来る

対策として、皮革類、ゴム、其の他の弾性耐摩耗
材を該部に添着することが試みられる所である
が、急速瞬間的激突、並びに摩摺であるため、摩
滅性が少なければ硬度が大であり過ぎて、足先部
に及ぼす打撃的影響が過大であり、之に反し軟質
のものでは摩滅性が過大である等、好適な物質を
