Parallel laminated plywood made by stacking paper or veneers impregnated with synthetic resin in parallel and heating and pressing them was cut and formed into a round bar shape, so structurally speaking, the bonding surfaces were flat and parallel. Therefore, there is less surface area for them to adhere to each other, and since the adhesive surface passes directly through the center from one surface to the other surface without opening up, chipping and cracking due to hitting the ball occur frequently, and moisture absorption causes the lamination to deteriorate. Due to the difference in expansion and contraction between the center and the outer periphery, hollow peeling naturally occurs, and even a single ball will often break completely in two along the laminated surface, posing the risk of hitting a player. In addition, since all the laminated surfaces were exposed on the surface, the ball hitting surface was significantly deformed due to moisture absorption and expansion. In order to prevent many of the above-mentioned phenomena, it was necessary to put a cab cover on the ball hitting surface or insert a metal ring around it.

In addition, when descending, the parallel laminated plywood in the form of a plate was cut into the desired shape and then cut into a round bar shape, so the laminated surface became grained, causing reverse graining and many occurrences of cracking, digging, etc. The digging work and careful sanding are unavoidable, resulting in an increased number of work requests and a large amount of wasted material. As a result, the gateball head is unstable, which is dangerous and causes complaints. It was expensive.

In Figure 3, paper with a weight of 80 to 250 g/m^2 is impregnated with thermosetting resin and dried to remove moisture or volatile content by 2.
A desired number of sheets of paper 1 with a concentration of ~9% are stacked in parallel, the same treatment is applied to the middle position 2 in the thickness direction, and the paper is cut into 3 to 40 mm width using a device such as a guillotine cutter or a cross cut saw. Gather the strips of paper 3 so that the specific gravity after forming the gateball head is about 1.1 to 1.45, and then combine the strips of paper 3 with the core material 7 of the gateball head. 120 to 170 between the lower mold 11 and the upper mold 12.
The molded product was heated and pressurized at a temperature of 30 to 250 kg/cm^2 at a temperature of 30 to 250 kg/cm^2, maintained in that state for about 50 to 100 minutes, and then cooled to release the molded product. In addition to the above-mentioned band-shaped paper, core materials used here include cloth, a collection of veneers, and a certain type of laminated plywood. For sheet-shaped materials, the above-mentioned paper Other fabrics or veneers may be used, and a combination of these may also be used. Examples of thermosetting resins include phenol resins, melamine resins, and epoxy resins. After hot compression molding, the burrs on the joint surface of the mold are removed, the surface is polished with a belt sander, etc., the entire length is cut, the shaft hole is drilled, and the final step is painted with a paint such as urethane, polyester, acrylic, or epoxy. However, the laminated state at the boundary 5 between the core material part 7 and the outer layer part 6 was completely changed, and a gateball head was obtained in which the sheet-like paper covered and concealed the core material part. It was done.

(E) A core material, i.e., a strip-shaped paper impregnated with a thermosetting resin,
During press molding, the forming rod 3 of fabric, veneer, or laminate is heated and compressed uniformly inside the mold, and the laminated state is completely changed at the boundary 5 between the core part 7 and the outer layer part 6. It has the effect of molding and increasing the bonding area. The sheet-like paper, cloth, or veneer 1 impregnated with a thermosetting resin completely covers and hides the core portion 7, and has the effect of preventing the adhesive phase from being exposed on the surface. (Figures 1 and 3) As a result, phenomena such as poor adhesion due to insufficient pressure and hollow peeling due to differences in expansion and contraction are eliminated, and since almost no adhesive phase is exposed on the surface, chipping around the periphery caused by hitting the ball and the center part are eliminated. Damage that could lead to the risk of passing cracks was extremely suppressed, and the occurrence of gouges, cracks, etc. during cutting and forming was also reduced. In addition, by using several types of paper, cloth, or veneer of different colors during the stacking process, it was possible to obtain a gateball head with a brightly colored pattern.

(f) Effects of the invention As described above, the present invention has several times the impact resistance of conventional parallel laminated plywood, is tough and safe, and has excellent abrasion resistance, weather resistance, decorativeness, etc. Since gateball heads can be manufactured easily and quickly, it is effective in providing stable quality and price support for the aging society of the future.
