The present invention relates to a modified polypropylene resin composition with improved short-term adhesion to metal foil. Currently, metal foils, especially laminate films of aluminum foil and polypropylene, are usually manufactured using adhesives. However, the above method using adhesive
There are environmental hygiene problems during production, and the resulting product is not necessarily favorable from a food hygiene perspective when used in food packaging. Therefore, the use of modified polypropylene resin instead of the conventional so-called adhesive to bond metal foil and polypropylene has come to be used as a means to solve the above problems. Therefore, in order to make it economically advantageous when bonding metal foil and polypropylene using modified polypropylene resin,
It is necessary that productivity is high, that is, that the modified polypropylene resin exhibits high adhesion to metal foil in a short bonding time. However, conventional modified polypropylene resins have not been satisfactory in terms of short-term adhesive properties. In view of this, the present inventors have conducted intensive studies to improve the short-time adhesive strength (adhesive strength in a short adhesive time; the same shall apply hereinafter) of modified polypropylene resin to metal foil. The inventors have discovered that the short-term adhesive strength can be greatly improved by using epoxy fatty acid glyceride as one component, and have arrived at the present invention. That is, the present invention comprises (a) at least one type of polypropylene or propylene-α-olefin copolymer, (b) at least one type of maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene or maleic acid grafted polypropylene, and (c) epoxy fatty acid glyceride. This is a modified polypropylene resin composition that is characterized by excellent short-term adhesion to metals. In the present invention, it is preferable to further add (d) low-density polyethylene and (e) soft resin to the above-mentioned components (a) to (c), since this further improves the adhesive strength. The polypropylene or propylene-α-olefin copolymer used as component (a) of the present invention is not particularly limited in its production method, but is usually, for example, TiCl 3 , TiCl 3 .1/3 AlCl 3 or MgCl 2 .
Supported catalysts with Ti compounds supported on them and AlEt 3 ,
A catalyst system consisting of one or more organic Al catalysts such as AlEt 2 Cl, AlEt 2 H or Al(iso-Bu) 3 and, if necessary, one or more third components is used. , usually produced at a temperature of 40-80℃. The α-olefins used include ethylene, 1-butene, isobutene, 1-pentene, 1-hexene, 4-methylpentene-1, and styrene, and one or more of these may be used. Among these, ethylene and butene-1 are preferred, and ethylene is particularly preferred. In addition, the α-olefin content in the propylene-α-olefin copolymer is not particularly limited, but
Usually less than 60% by weight. The mode of copolymerization may be either random copolymerization, block copolymerization, or both. Maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene or maleic acid-grafted polypropylene used as component (b) of the present invention refers to grafted maleic anhydride or grafted maleic acid.
It contains 0.1 to 20% by weight. The method for producing grafted polypropylene is as follows:
There are no particular limitations, but for example, a method of reacting polypropylene in a state dissolved in an organic solvent, a method of reacting a polypropylene in a molten state,
A method in which polypropylene is reacted in a slurry state dispersed in a solvent, a method in which polypropylene powder is reacted in a gas phase state, etc. can be used. The polypropylene used as a raw material for producing grafted polypropylene may be either a propylene homopolymer or a propylene-α-olefin copolymer. You may use it. The amount of component (b) used in the present invention is usually 0.1 to 20 parts by weight, preferably 0.5 to 5 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the total of (a) + (d) + (e). If it is less than 0.1 part by weight, hardly any adhesive force will be obtained, and if it exceeds 20 parts by weight, the cost will increase and, conversely, the adhesive force will tend to decrease. The epoxy fatty glyceride used as component (c) of the present invention has the general formula

It is the basis. The amount of component (c) used in the present invention is 0.03 to 2 parts by weight, preferably 0.1 to 0.5 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the total of (a) + (d) + (e). If the amount is less than 0.03 parts by weight, the effect of improving adhesion by adding it will hardly appear. Moreover, if it exceeds 2 parts by weight, it becomes difficult to pelletize using an extruder, which is not preferable. The low density polyethylene which is the component (d) that can be used together with the components (a), (b) and (c) in the present invention is:
It is polyethylene with a density in the range of 0.910 to 0.935 g/ml, and there is no particular restriction on the amount used, but (a)
A suitable amount is 40 parts by weight or less for a total of 100 parts by weight of +(d)+(e). When component (d) is added, in addition to the effect of improving adhesive strength when used in combination with component (c), it is particularly effective for high-speed extrusion.
Parts by weight are preferred. In addition, in the present invention, (a) component, (b) component, (c) component and
The soft resin that is component (e) that can be used together with component (d) is ethylene-propylene rubber, ethylene-butene-1 rubber, ethylene-propylene-butene-1 rubber,
Rubber, polyisobutene rubber, ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, etc., among which:
Ethylene-propylene rubber, ethylene-butene
1 rubber and ethylene-propylene-butene-1 rubber are preferred. There are no particular restrictions on the amount of component (e) used, but (a)
A suitable amount is 40 parts by weight or less for a total of 100 parts by weight of +(d)+(e). The purpose of adding component (e) is to improve the adhesive strength when used in combination with component (c). Since component (e) is usually quite expensive, it is desirable to use as little as possible to achieve high adhesive strength.
From this point of view, the preferred range is 5 to 30 parts by weight. The effect of the present invention is that by combining these five components (a) to (e), a modified polypropylene resin composition with higher short-time adhesive strength and good high-speed extrudability can be obtained. In the modified polypropylene resin composition of the present invention, an antioxidant that is usually added to polypropylene,
Of course, various additives such as ultraviolet absorbers and antistatic agents may be added. There are no particular restrictions on how to use the modified polypropylene resin composition of the present invention, but A: modified polypropylene resin composition B: polypropylene homo or copolymer C: as metal foil, for example, A/C/A, A/C, B /A/C/A/B,
There are lamination methods such as B/A/C/A and B/A/C, and any of them may be used. EXAMPLES A specific example of the present invention will be explained in more detail by way of examples below. In the following examples, short-term adhesive strength was measured as follows. Place 0.1 mm thick aluminum foil in each of two household electric irons, raise the surface temperature of the iron to 200℃, and heat the aluminum foil for 3 minutes. The modified polypropylene resin composition was extruded at 250°C using a 20mmφ extruder equipped with a T-die.
The molten resin coming out of the die is passed from the resin outlet to
At a height of 8 cm, the preheated aluminum foil was sandwiched between two electric irons, and after 2 seconds, the irons were removed leaving the aluminum foil on the resin surface, and the resin was left to cool at room temperature. After the obtained laminate was left at room temperature overnight, the 180° peel strength was measured, and this value was taken as the adhesive strength. The 180° peel strength was measured in accordance with ASTM D903-49. Also, the speed of the crosshead is 300
mm/min. Examples 1 to 11, Comparative Examples 1 to 4 2,6-di-t-
Added 0.1 part by weight of butyl-4-methylphenol,
After mixing using a Henschel mixer, the mixture was extruded at 250°C using a 65 mmφ extruder to produce pellets of a modified polypropylene resin composition. Using the obtained pellets, adhesion to aluminum foil was examined according to the method described above, and the results shown in the table were obtained. From the table, it can be seen that the resin composition of the present invention has excellent short-term adhesiveness. Comparative Example 5 Epichlorohydrin was used in place of the epoxy fatty acid glyceride in Example 2, that is, Comparative Example 2
A modified polypropylene resin composition was obtained in the same manner as in Example 2 (Comparative Example 2) except that 0.3 parts by weight of epichlorohydrin was further added to the composition. Using this pellet, we measured the adhesive strength with aluminum foil using the method described above, and found that the adhesive strength was 1350.
g/cm, which was inferior to 1920 g/cm in Example 2, and not much improvement from 1280 g/cm in Comparative Example 2.
