Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow one stacker part to handle inputted bank notes, to shorten a conveyance route and to miniaturize and compact a device by functioning the stacker part not only as stacking inputted bank notes but also as excluding abnormal bank notes. CONSTITUTION:In order to insert bank notes, the type of bank note is previously specified, and bank notes are put into a hopper part 1 to operate the device. Consequently a bank note separation and extraction means 5 operates and the bank notes are taken out one by one and carried out to a bank note conveyance route 2. After a counting and judging part 3 counts and judges these bank notes, they are further conveyed and stacked by the stacker part 4. If the bank notes are abnormal or of types other than the specified one, a judgement member 3b detects and displays the effect. In that case, all the put-in bank notes are stacked in the stacker part 4, then taked out. Abnormal bank notes are replaced or removed, and bank notes are put into the hopper part 1 again. Then normal money input is attainable.

After the ends of the banknotes are aligned as described above, the shutter 13 is opened, and the pressing roller 14a of the banknote pressing member 14 is
Make it seem like you're holding down a banknote. When the banknote separating and discharging means 5 operates in this state, the banknotes in the hopper section 1 are separated one by one and sent out toward the banknote conveyance path 2, and are moved by the feed rollers 2a forming the banknote conveyance path 2 to the guide plate. 2b to the counting and discrimination section 3. Therefore, the counting discrimination section 3
The counting member 3a that constitutes the banknotes counts the number of banknotes, and the discrimination member 3b determines the authenticity of the transported banknotes.
The denomination, the presence or absence of damage, etc. are discriminated, and the results of this counting and discrimination are sequentially displayed on the display section 12. After completing this counting and discrimination, the banknotes are further conveyed along the banknote conveyance path 2, and are transferred to the banknote conveyance path 2 by the banknote removal means 11.
The paper is taken out from the stacker section 4 and stacked on the stacker section 4. Then, when all the banknotes carried out from the hopper section 1 are counted and distinguished and stacked in the stacker section 4, the banknote depositing operation is completed, and the display section 12 displays the deposited amount, number of bills, etc. You will be killed.

On the other hand, if the banknotes being transported along the banknote transport path 2 are of a different denomination than the designated denomination, are counterfeit, damaged, or have foreign objects such as tape attached to them, the banknotes themselves are abnormal. If the item is being transported in an abnormal manner, or if it is being transported in a double, chained, or skewed state,
Such abnormal banknotes are detected by the discrimination member 3b that constitutes the counting and discrimination section 3. As a result,
The display unit 12 will display that an abnormal banknote has been conveyed. Then, all the banknotes put into the hopper section 1 at this time are discharged to the stacker section 4 and are stacked therein. Therefore, it is possible to take out the banknotes discharged into the stacker section 4 in this way, manually discover abnormal banknotes, and replace the banknotes with other banknotes.
After removing the money, if the money is put into the hopper section 1 again, regular deposit processing can be performed.

Normally, before depositing money using this bill depositing device, bills are sorted by denomination in advance, so damaged bills, taped bills, etc. can be removed at that time, so as mentioned above, bills are sorted by denomination. There is little possibility that abnormal banknotes will be thrown into the hopper section 1, and therefore, as described above, there are very few cases where it is necessary to redo the deposit operation due to the insertion of abnormal banknotes, and it is possible to separate abnormal banknotes from other banknotes. Even if all the banknotes are sent to this stacker section 4 without being separated, the depositing work will not become so troublesome. Moreover, if the edges of the banknotes put into the hopper part 1 are aligned by the shutter 13, and the banknotes are carried out from the hopper part 1 while being pressed by the banknote pressing member 14, it is possible to prevent the banknotes from being stacked or chained. , the number of banknotes conveyed in a skewed state is extremely reduced, and the identification efficiency is improved. As a result, the number of banknotes conveyed in an abnormal state is reduced, and therefore the frequency of redoing the deposit operation is significantly reduced. Even if there is no provision, the deposit process will not become particularly troublesome.
