However, this method not only requires large-scale equipment, but also requires pressure to be applied during welding, making it impractical to use in narrow work sites or when the base material to which the nut is welded is relatively thin. There were some inconveniences.

In this case, molten metal may adhere to the threaded portion in the through hole of the nut, making it impossible to screw the bolt into the welded nut. Therefore,
According to this invention, a through-hole of a gripped nut to be welded is attached to a conductive holder that has an elastic gripping part that removably grips a nut to be welded at its tip and is fitted to the tip of a welding gun. A rod-shaped body for preventing adhesion of scattered molten metal made of an insulating material and having a thickness approximately equal to the inner diameter of the rod is combined. A plastic material or the like can be used as the material for this rod-shaped body.

and a rod-shaped body 2 made of an insulating material, which is fitted into the holder 1, and one end of the holder 1 is provided with an interruption in the longitudinal direction as shown by numerals 3a, 3b, and 3c. An elastic gripping part 5 is formed at the tip thereof to removably grip the nut 4 to be welded, and a spring ring 6 is attached to the outer circumference. The other end of the holder 1 is attached to the tip of a welding gun (not shown) via a connecting member 7 made of a similar material. As shown in FIG. 3, the rod-shaped body 2 is fixed in the holding body 1 by a screw 9 via an annular member 8, and its tip 2a passes through a through hole 4a in the nut 4, and the rod-shaped body 2 The end face of the tip is positioned slightly retracted from the end face 4b of the nut 4 attached to the holder 1. Further, the diameter of the tip 2a of the rod-shaped body 2 is made approximately equal to the inner diameter of the nut 4;
a is made to be able to freely slide within the through hole of the nut 4.

Furthermore, even when welding to a thin base material, nut welding can be performed without distorting the base material or burning out the paint on the back surface due to the heat and pressure of welding, unlike conventional resistance welding methods.
