【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は磁気記録再生装置の回転磁気ヘツドド
ラムにかかわり、特に、その固定ドラムの構造
を、装置の扁平化に寄与するように、ドラムを高
精度に旋削加工できるようにした回転磁気ヘツド
ドラムに関するものである。

従来の回転磁気ヘツドドラムの構造を第1図に
示す。第1図において、2は回転ドラムで、ビデ
オヘツド1を搭載し回転軸4を中心に回転する回
転支持体3に固着している。また、5は固定ドラ
ムで、回転軸4を軸承する上部軸受6aと下部軸
受6bとを内径部に装着し、下部に固定子鉄心7
とモータ巻線8とを固定している。この固定子鉄
心7の外周部には回転磁石9が配置されている。
このような回転磁気ヘツドドラムの構造に対し
て、磁気記録再生装置の小形化の要求から、回転
磁気ヘツドドラムを扁平化しようとする際、第1
図に示すドラム部HDは磁気テープ幅と記録パタ
ーンの関係上扁平化には限度があり、このためモ
ータ部HMを扁平化しなければならない。しかし
ながら、第1図に示した構造では、固定ドラム5
の軸受部が下方に長く突き出ているため、モータ
部の長さHMを短縮することができず、扁平化が
できない。そこで、第2図に示すように、固定ド
ラムの中央の軸受部を上方(回転ドラム側)に移
動し、モータを短縮して扁平化することが考えら
れる。しかし、このようにして固定ドラムのモー
タ部を扁平短縮する場合、下部軸受部は固定ドラ
ム旋削加工の際旋盤のチヤツク部に位置すること
になり、そのため軸受嵌合部の内径の真円度を悪
化させるという問題がある。

成するため、固定ドラムの軸受を装着する部分の
外形部に逃げ空間を設けることを要点とするもの
で、これにより固定ドラムの仕上旋削加工時の歪
を、軸受が装着される固定ドラムの内径部に与え
ないようにしたものである。

つた逃げ空間11の深さlhとして、lB≦lhとなる
ように深さhを設定することにより、固定ドラム
10の旋削加工時に軸受嵌合部15の内径の真円

は、旋削加工時、旋削チヤツク12が固定ドラム
10のチヤツク部14をチヤツクし、ボーリング

態を示したものであるが、軸受嵌合部15の外周
部の外方に逃げ空間11を設けたことにより、旋
削チヤツク12による歪が軸受嵌合穴dに影響を
与えないので、軸受嵌合穴dの真円度が良好に加
工できる。
