る海水の大気側への洩れを阻止せんとしている。
しかしながら、このような構成の船尾管軸封装置
によると、前記密封摺動面fの面荷重を液圧にの
み依存するため、小型船での低吃水圧時や回転軸
cのスラスト方向移動量が多い場合には、通常、
ゴム製になるシールリングaの追随性が劣り、シ
ール性能が低下する欠点を有している。

グ7の体積を増減し、該中空リング7の後端側の

増減し、これにより密封摺動面6の面圧を調整す
