It is well known that cooling the burn area is the most important initial treatment for burns. To cool the burn area, a moisturizer such as a water-absorbing polymer or glycerin is usually applied to the affected area. However, with this method, the entire affected area was covered, and the affected area was not breathable, which delayed healing. In addition, since the water contained in the coating agent evaporates only on the surface of the coating film and the evaporation area is small, the cooling effect is weak and the cooling durability is also low.

In view of the above, the present invention was devised to provide a burn treatment material with good cooling effect, sustainability, and ventilation. This is a characteristic feature.

The hydrogel applied to the skeleton 1 of the net-like support may be obtained by dispersing various water-soluble organic polymer compounds such as starch, cellulose derivatives, polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylic acid, polyethylene oxide, etc. in water. Various well-known aqueous gels that are relatively flexible can be used.

However, most of these aqueous gels are in the form of the water-soluble polymer compound absorbing water and swelling, and in most of the aqueous gels, water forms a continuous phase. . For this reason, the strength of aqueous gels is not very strong when the water content is relatively high, and in general, the storage stability of the gel is affected, and the water contained in it evaporates easily, especially when left in the air. There is a fear of being lost. Furthermore, if the net-like dressing of the present invention is frozen to a temperature below 0°C to enhance its cooling effect, the hydrous gel will freeze, become hard and brittle, lose flexibility, and tend to fall off from the net.

Therefore, in the present invention, the value of the present invention can be further increased by using a special water-containing gel as described below in place of the above-mentioned well-known aqueous gel. Special hydrogels include those with a structure in which water particles are dispersed in a continuous phase consisting of a certain type of elastomer and an oil component, and those with a structure in which water-absorbing polymer particles containing water are dispersed. It has a structure in which water is dispersed while holding water.

To explain one example of this special water-containing gel in detail, the elastomer has an A block of a hard polymer such as styrene or methylstyrene, and a B block of a soft polymer of a conjugated diene compound such as butadiene or isoprene. A-B-A type teleblock copolymer elastomer (hereinafter abbreviated as teleblock elastomer) is used, and this teleblock elastomer is compatible with the B block of the teleblock elastomer and incompatible with the A block. in an oily substance such as machine oil, cylinder oil, transformer oil, rosin oil or liquid paraffin. In the oil continuous phase thus obtained,
Water particles dispersed using an emulsifier, or water-absorbing polymer particles such as graft polymers of acrylic acid and starch, copolymers of acrylic acid and polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene oxide, etc. in the above-mentioned oil continuous phase. Examples include water-containing polymer particles that have absorbed water, ie, those in which water retained by polymer particles is dispersed.

Since the water content in this type of hydrogel is more stable than general aqueous gels, there is very little concern that the cooling effect will deteriorate due to water loss due to evaporation, etc. Even if the invented net-shaped burn treatment material is stored at 0° C. or lower, the entire gel does not freeze and become hard and brittle and retains its flexibility, so it does not peel off from the net-shaped support.

Since the burn treatment material of the present invention is as described in detail above, by applying it directly to the burnt area, it can achieve the purpose of cooling the affected area, which is most important in the initial treatment of burns. In addition, because it is net-shaped, it does not cover the entire surface of the burn area like conventional dressings, and the structure maintains breathability to the affected area, so secretions from the affected area do not reach the affected area. It can reduce the negative effects and speed up the healing process.

As mentioned above, breathability has the effect of speeding up healing, but on the other hand, there is concern about the possibility of bacterial infection as the affected area comes into contact with the outside air. There is no need to worry about this because it can be mixed in advance.
