【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は磁気ヘツドを付加されたヘツドアーム
を磁気デイスクの半径方向に揺動させることによ
り、磁気デイスクに対し磁気ヘツドの位置決めを
行なう揺動アーム型の磁気ヘツド位置決め装置に
関するものである。

従来、磁気デイスク装置においては、磁気デイ
スク上の任意の情報トラツクに磁気ヘツドを位置
決めする装置として、第1図に示すような揺動ア
ーム型のヘツド位置決め装置が広く用いられてい
る。この装置では、磁気ヘツド3が揺動アーム2
の一端に取り付けられ、このアームの他端には電
磁作動子の可動子4が取り付けられている。上記
揺動アームは回転軸6を中心として電磁作動子4
および5によつて揺動し、磁気ヘツド3を磁気デ
イスク上の任意の情報トラツクへ位置決めする。
一般にこの位置決めには、磁気ヘツドにより読出
された位置信号による閉ループ制御方式が用いら
れている。このため、揺動アーム2と回転軸6と
の間に半径方向のすきまがある場合、磁気ヘツド
の位置決め誤差が増大したり、時にはサーボ系が
発振して高精度の位置決めは不可能となる。特
に、揺動アーム2の回転軸6と接する部分にボー
ルベアリングの軸受を備える場合には、ボールと
内外輪との間隙が問題となる。そこで従来の装置
においては第2図に示すように、予圧用バネを用
いて内輪を押圧する方法が講じられている。

に圧入されているが、ボールベアリング11の内
輪は予圧用バネ13によつて容易に押下げられる
ように固定軸8との間に僅かな間隙が設けられ
る。この間隙は通常の寸法精度では数ミクロン
〔μm〕にも及び、より高精度の位置決めのために
はより高度な寸法精度が要求され、コスト的にも
問題となる。
