When manufacturing a fiber bundle using a conventional device, the continuous fibers that are continuously produced and transferred are wound up in a skein 21 of a skein winding device 20 to once form an annular fiber bundle 22. After that, the cut portions 23 and 24 of the annular fiber bundle 22 are cut, and
Only the portion where the fibers are straight is extracted to obtain a fiber bundle 25 of a certain length, which is an intermediate product shown in FIG.

However, as described above, the fiber bundle 25 of a certain length, which is an intermediate product obtained by the conventional method, is wound up in the skein 21 and the cut portions 23 and 24 are cut in that state. Therefore, it is difficult to make the length of the fibers forming the fiber bundle 25 constant, and extremely advanced technology is required to obtain a high quality fiber bundle 25.

is bent as shown in FIG. 9, and this bent fiber bundle 27 is used as waste when extremely uniform and high quality is required, such as in hollow fiber reverse osmosis membranes and hollow fiber artificial kidneys. However, this method had the disadvantage of significantly reducing productivity, such as increased amount of waste and work to remove the waste.

Means for effectively achieving the above-mentioned object of the present invention are as follows: (a) Both ends of the fiber F1 cut to a certain length are placed in a gutter-shaped receiving member with an open upper part so that the fiber does not loosen. (b) The fiber F 1 stored in the member is held by the two gripping pieces B and B', and the fiber F 1 is held horizontally, and the fiber F 1 is lowered from above and stored. , B' to prevent the fiber F 1 from loosening by restraining it with two restraining pieces C and C' provided near the positions of the gripping pieces B and B'. (d) Two restraining pieces D, D' are installed outside the positions of the restraining pieces C, C' and restrain both ends of the fiber F0 already housed in the receiving member. (e) releasing the restraint on the fiber F 1 by the restraining pieces C, C‖, and (f) the operations (b) to (e) above. This is a method for straightly bundling the fibers cut to a certain length by repeatedly storing the fibers F 2 , F 3 . . . Fn cut into a certain length in the receiving part and stacking them.

The continuous fibers F wound around the supply drum 4 pass through a feed roll 5 and a storage device 6, and the end of the fibers F is held at a point X below the foil 1 by a pair of gripping pieces rotating on a chain orbit.
After being gripped by A 1 and A 2 , it continues to move to point Y and stops. Next, at point Y where the gripping pieces A 1 and A 2 have stopped rotating, the knife 7 cuts approximately the center of the fiber F held by the gripping pieces A 1 and A 2 .

It is possible to obtain it effectively without. Furthermore, since this method is a completely mechanized method, it can be connected to the next process relatively easily, and this allows for significant improvements in labor and energy savings.
