As is well known, when the tension of a string is weakened, the vibration frequency decreases, and conversely, when the tension is increased, the vibration frequency increases. is raised and lowered to obtain a special sound effect called a tremolo effect. Figure 1 shows the most common tremolo unit mechanism installed in conventional electric guitars, where 1 is the strings, 2 is the body body with a storage chamber 3 for storing the balance spring 4, and 5 is the stopper. A bridge base 7 is disposed on the body main body 2 so as to be rotatable around a screw 6 as a rotation fulcrum, and is given the ability to rotate counterclockwise in the figure by a balance spring 4. The bridge body is adjusted to move in the tensioning direction of the string 1 by an adjustment screw 8, and 9 is a tremolo arm that moves the bridge base 5 up and down. The ball end portion 10 is inserted into the hole 11 from below and is locked to the lower surface of the spring locking portion 5A,
The middle part is supported by the string support section 7A of the bridge body 7. In this case, the moment due to the sum of the tensions T 1 of each string 1 stretched to a predetermined pitch and the moment due to the spring force T 2 of the balance spring 4 are balanced at a certain point, as shown in the diagram of Bridge Base 5. The tremolo arm 9 is held at an angular position slightly lifted from the main body 2, and in this state, by moving the tremolo arm 9 up and down, the above-mentioned balanced state is disrupted and the tension of the string 1 is changed, thereby producing a tremolo effect. It is composed of

However, in such a conventional tremolo unit mechanism, the middle part of the string 1 is supported by the string support part 7A provided on the upper surface of the bridge body 7, and the ball end part 10 is fixed by the spring locking part 5A of the bridge base 5. Therefore, when the bridge body 7 is moved back and forth for the purpose of adjusting the octave pitch, the pry angle θ of the string 1 changes, which adversely affects the sound quality.
Also, since the prying angle θ changes, if you try to move the bridge body 7 to the right against the tension of the string 1 by rotating the octave adjustment screw 8 in the tightening direction,
It feels progressively heavier and requires a large rotational operating force, which poses a problem in operability.

In addition, in a structure in which the string 1 is fixedly supported by two separate members, the bridge base 5 and the bridge body 7, the string support part 7A of the bridge body 7 and the two points A and B of the upper end opening of the insertion hole 11 are connected to each other. Since the string 1 is in contact (especially since the bass string is a wound string), there is a large resistance before and after the tremolo arm is activated. The tension in the string part Z is not uniform, and its reproducibility is also poor. Furthermore, when adjusting the octave by moving the bridge body 7 back and forth after stringing, even if the bent part of the string 1 deviates from point A, it will not return to a straight line completely and will remain bent. to fasten. Therefore, these circumstances not only adversely affect the sound quality during performance, but also cause the strings to break.

This idea was made in view of the above-mentioned points, and has an extremely simple structure in which one end of the string is locked by a string locking part provided on the bridge body, which solves the above-mentioned problems at once. This provides a tremolo unit mechanism for guitars.

FIG. 2 is a side sectional view showing one embodiment of the tremolo unit mechanism according to this invention. Components in the figure that are the same as those in FIG. 1 are designated by the same reference numerals, and their explanations will be omitted. At the center of the bridge base 5, a through hole 20 which is open in the upper and lower surfaces and is long in the front and rear direction is formed in correspondence with the bridge body 7. The width of this through hole 20 is determined by the width of the bridge body 7.
The width is set to be sufficiently smaller than the width of the A cylindrical string locking part 21 that penetrates the through hole 20 and is inserted into the storage chamber 3 is integrally provided on the lower surface of the bridge body 7, and its inner hole is connected to the upper surface of the bridge body 7 and A string insertion hole 22 is formed by opening at the lower surface of the string locking portion 21 . Bridge body 7
The string support portion 7A is formed in a gentle arc shape and continues to the upper open end of the string insertion hole 22. The string 1 is inserted into the string insertion hole 2 from below the string locking part 21.
2 and the ball end portion 10 is inserted into the string insertion hole 2.
2, and a protrusion protruding from the upper open end is supported by the string support section 7A. Therefore, even if the bridge body 5 is moved back and forth using the octave adjustment screw 8, the pry angle of the string 1 does not change at all and remains constant.

Incidentally, reference numeral 24 denotes a longitudinally long groove formed on the upper surface of the bridge base 5, into which the lower part of the bridge body 7 is slidably fitted. In addition, when inserting the string 1 into the string insertion hole 22,
This can be done from the back side of the main body 2 through the back cover 30 in exactly the same way as in the conventional device.
Note that six openings 31 are formed in the back cover 30, corresponding to each string 1.

As mentioned above, in the electric guitar tremolo unit mechanism according to this invention, one end of the string is fixed and supported only by the bridge body, so even if the bridge body is moved and adjusted when adjusting the octave, the pry angle of the string is does not change and has no adverse effect on sound quality. Furthermore, if the pry angle does not change, the string pressure on the bridge body will hardly change, and the octave adjustment screw can be operated with a constant operating force, improving operability. Furthermore, since the strings are fixedly supported only by the bridge body, it is possible to reduce the pitch deviation of the strings.
