Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the consumption quantity of tape by providing a signal recorder which allows the phases of signals to be recorded at the starting point of a track to coincide therewith, and which does not need overlapped recording. CONSTITUTION:When a digital data is inputted, it is written in a memory 10. Also, a signal in synchronism with the digital data is inputted to a drum servo 12 as a reference to control a cylinder at a certain rotary phase. A PG signal representing this rotary phase is inputted to a control signal generator 13, where a control signal to read such a data as recorded first on a track from the memory 10 is generated. A data thus read out is converted to a signal to be recorded on a tape by the recording circuit 11, and recorded on the tape through respective heads. に何らかの外乱が加わった時、−瞬シリンダの回転位相
が変動する。すると第4図に示す様に、シリンダの回転
位相と記録される信号の位相との間に時間のずれが生じ
、そのトラック内では他のトラックとは違った位相の信
号が記録されてしまう。そこでそのずれを補う方法とし
て第5図に示す様にテープ上の1トラツク内に1つ前と
1つ後のトラックの信号を重ねて記録するオーバラップ
記録がある。すると、第6図に示す様に記録される信号
に位相ずれがあったとして、オーバラップ記録によって
入るべき信号は必ず1トラツク内に納まるというもので
あった。

ドを通してテープに記録される。これによりシリンダに
外乱が加わって位相が変動したとしてもそれに応じてメ
モリの最初のデータ読み出しも変動するので、その結果
トラック内での記録される信号の位相はかわらず、トラ
ック始まりでの位相も他のトラックと一致する。又これ
によってオーバラップ記録を行う必要がなくなりテープ
消費量を少なくてき憂密度記録を行う事ができる。

回転位相を表わすPGの信号よりメモリ10からトラッ
ク内の最初に記録するデータを読み出す制御信号を作る
メモリ制御手段である制御c号発生器である。以上の様
に構成された本実施例の信号記録装置について以下その
動作を説明する。まずディジタルデータが入力されると
、メモリ10に書き込まれる。又そのディジタルデータ
と同期した信号を基準信号としてドラムサーボ12に入
力し、シリンダをある回転位相で制御もしている。そこ
でその回転位相を表わしているPGの信号を制御信号発
生器13に入力しメモIJ 10からトラック内の是初
に記録するデータを読み出す制御信号を作り、それによ
って読み出されたデータは、記録系回路11においてテ
ープ上に記録する信号に変換し、それぞれのヘッドを通
してテープに記録される。以上の様に本実施例によれば
、第2図の波形図に示す様にシリンダの回転位相を表わ
すPGの信号によりメモI710の最初のデータの読み
出しを制御しているので、記録されるトラックの始まシ
は必ず最初のデータとなり位相は他のトラックと必ず一
致する。又その結果オーバラップ記録する必要がなくテ
ープ消費量を少なくする事ができる。又トラックの始ま
りでの記録される信号の位相はすべてのトランクで一致
しているので、例えばディジタルデータを記録した場合
、トラック中のある一部分のみ記録仕置すという事があ
り、そういう場合においても、その一部分の位置が決定
されるので簡単な回路構成で実現する事ができる。なお
本実施例によればディジタルデータを回転ヘッドでテー
プ上に記録する信号記録装置の場合適用されるものであ
るが、第1図のブロック図においてメモリ1Qの前にA
D変換器、後に0人変換器を加える事によりアナログ信
号を回転ヘッドでテープに記録する信号記録装置にする
事もできる。
