Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] (1) An inner tube is slidably inserted into an outer tube, a center pipe is erected at the center of the lower end of the outer tube, and the upper piston part of the center pipe is in sliding contact with the inner circumference of the inner tube. In a front fork in which a valve is provided at the bottom of an inner tube so as to be movable up and down, the valve consists of a valve body and a notch passage formed at the end of the valve body, and the inner circumference of the valve body is connected to a center pipe. A damping force generating device for a front fork, which is slidably in contact with the outer periphery of the front fork in a vertically movable manner, and has a damping force generating passage formed in the lower part of the valve through which the upper and lower oil chambers of the valve communicate. (2) A passage for generating damping force is formed on the lower surface of the valve body, and the upper end of this passage opens into the upper oil chamber.
