Among these, pearl luster agents, which have been widely used in recent years, are esters of polyhydric alcohols such as ethylene glycol and higher fatty acids, as described in JP-A-57-156409 and other publications. It is a crystalline substance. However, these require complicated processes such as preparing ethylene glycol higher fatty acid esters as a pearl agent in advance and incorporating it into the composition, and in order to impart a beautiful pearlescent luster to the hair composition. If a large amount is added to the hair, it has the disadvantage that the hair finishing effect (moist feeling of hair, smoothness of hair, combability) described below deteriorates.
