Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent poor electric resistance welding of electrode poles used for connection between cells by forming them with Pb-Se-Sn alloy. CONSTITUTION:A lead storage battery is formed by electric resistance welding of electrode poles 1a, 1b used for connection between cells. The electrode poles 1a, 1b comprise Pb-Se-Sn alloy and are allocated for covering a through hole 3 provided on a polypropylene-made bulkhead 2. Composition of the alloy is 0.003-0.5 wt.% of Se, 0.1-4 wt.% of Sn and remaining of Pb. By the arrangement, electrode poles 1a, 1b used for connection between cells are completely prevented from poor welding.
