Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at providing a completely united composite conductor by inserting the head section of a molding material which is bi-split into first and second channels, into a space in both side engaging edge sections of a crown-like band member. CONSTITUTION:A crown-like band member SUS made of a wear-resistant metal plate is curved into a C-like cross-sectional shape so as to have arcuated engaging edge sections 1, 1. A highly conductive metal molding material Al is composed of first and second channel sections 4, 5 which are united together so as to form an engaging head section 6 in the lower section thereof. A half piece head part 9 of the channel section 4 has an outward facing part which is a bell-like shape bulged locking shoulder part 10, and the opposite side surface has a concave side surface which is bent so as to provide a guide surface 13. Further, a half-piece head part 15 has a shape which conforms along with the guide surface 13. The head part 9 of the first channel section 4 is inserted into an engaging space in the band member SUS, and thereafter the channel section 5 is inserted along the guide surface 13 so that the channel sections 4, 5 are united together in the locking condition by the engaging edge sections 4, 5, and are fastened together by bolts.

Conventionally, conductors for sliding current collectors composed of a highly conductive metal shape material such as aluminum and a wear-resistant metal strip material such as stainless steel have been described, for example, in Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-33177. As shown in the figure, bend the wear-resistant metal strip into a roughly U-shape, fit it into the six high-conductivity metal shapes, and swage it so that the caulking ribs on the shapes hold both edges of the strip. For example, as described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 59-19627, a wear-resistant metal strip is curved into a substantially C-shape to form a channel, and then a highly conductive shaped material is formed. It has been proposed that a grooved protrusion is inserted and a pattern is cut into the groove (thereby expanding the protrusion to integrate pressure welding to the wear-resistant metal strip). However, it cannot be said that satisfactory results have been obtained with any of these methods.

In other words, in the case of the former caulking rib, the wear-resistant metal strip that is covered in a substantially U-shape is hard, as typified by stainless steel, so when pressed inward by the caulking rib, As a result, an elastic repulsion force is generated corresponding to the amount of pressure applied to the ribs, and this repulsion force pushes the caulking ribs outward and causes them to peel off.As a result, the wear-resistant metal strip material becomes a highly conductive metal shape material. Karanuki could have fallen.

In addition, in the case of the latter case, it is necessary to
It is necessary to widen and deform a wear-resistant metal strip with a narrow frontage like a letter shape by driving a wedge into a convex part of a highly conductive metal profile that is press-fitted from the width of the width into an internal space wider than that width. However, the deformation resistance of the convex part is quite large, and if the convex part is not easily deformed, the pressing force to the wear-resistant metal strip tends to be insufficient, and it is difficult to obtain a firm electrically conductive contact. There was a drawback that the bonding was difficult.

In any of these cases, plastic deformation of the highly electrically sensitive metal profile is required in order to achieve bonding to the wear-resistant metal strip, and special tools are required to achieve the composite integration. ? 3 [The reality is that a crude method is used, and it has not been possible to provide a highly reliable yet economical composite conductor.

In order to achieve the above object, the composite conductor of the present invention has a cross section of approximately C
By combining a crown-like band material which is curved into a letter shape and has locking edges on both sides, and a section having a head that fits into the internal space between the both locking edges of this crown-shaped band material. The shape member is divided into a first channel part and a second channel part so as to partially define the head part,
These first and second channel portions have locking shoulders on opposite sides of the head that are engageable with the locking edges of the crown band, the locking shoulders being engageable with the locking edges of the crown band. They are assembled and bolted together with the head fitting properly in such a way that it engages with both locking edges.

As described above, in the composite conductor according to the present invention, the fitting engagement of the profile material to the crown band material is performed at the same time as the assembly and combination of the first channel part and the second channel part of the profile material. Unlike conventional composite conductors, which are secured to the strip by plastic deformation, special tools and complicated methods are not required, and complete joining and integration can be achieved with extremely simple operations. , therefore,
This type of composite conductor will have a tremendous impact on industry as it will be made more reliable and more economical.
