An outer layer made of vinyl chloride or the like is coated with an outer conductor made of aluminum foil or the like. The outer conductor functions as a shield so that electrical signals propagating through the inner conductor are not affected by external noise, and is grounded when actually used.

That is, as shown in Fig. 1, conventional connectors for coaxial cables in which the outer conductor is composed of a braided wire are
Outer conductors 7, 7a, 7 made of braided wire in advance
Insert the end of the cable 5 with the exposed internal conductor 9 into the connector body 1. At this time, the external conductor 7 is branched out into two, for example, and inserted into two through holes 2 bored in the peripheral wall of the connector main body 1, so that each end of the branched external conductors 7a, 7b and the connector a central sleeve 3 having a main body 1 and an inner conductor 9 supported by an insulator 4 of the connector main body 1;
The connection is fixed by soldering the tip of the wire. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 2, as a coaxial cable connector having an outer conductor made of aluminum foil, the end portion of the cable 15 with the outer conductor 17 and inner conductor 19 made of aluminum foil exposed is first shown in a predetermined position. The exposed outer conductor 17 is screwed onto the outer cover layer 16 using a fixing tool 11 such as the above, and the exposed outer conductor 17 is fixed with screws in direct contact with the connection fixing fitting 12, and then the inner conductor 19 is directly soldered or screwed to the signal input/output section of the device, and the external conductor 17 is grounded to the ground section of the device via the connection fixture 12.

た不都合があつた。 However, in the former example shown in FIG. 1, it is not easy to insert the branched outer conductors 7a, 7b made of braided wires of the cable 5 into the plurality of through holes 2 provided in the connector body 1, When the external conductors 7a and 7b are soldered to the connector body 1, the heating temperature deforms the outer cover layer 6 and the insulating layer 8 made of polyethylene, etc., resulting in an inconvenience such as an impedance mismatch. . on the other hand,
In the latter example shown in FIG. 2, the outer conductor 17 made of aluminum foil is likely to be damaged during the work of exposing it, and when the outer cover layer 16 is peeled off, the outer conductor 17 directly below it is also damaged. Both have the disadvantage of peeling off. Further, there were other disadvantages in that the external conductor 17 could break near where it was fixed by the connecting fitting 12 due to vibrations during use, and the cable could not be easily attached or detached.

具である。 FIG. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view showing an embodiment of the coaxial cable connector according to the present invention. In the figure,
32 is a conductive cylindrical main body made of copper alloy or the like, and has a tapered hole whose inner diameter becomes smaller as it goes from the base 33 toward the tip on the cable insertion side, and the outer diameter of the coaxial cable 40 is inserted and gripped. and surround it. Reference numeral 34 denotes a cylindrical connecting portion made of a copper alloy that extends in the axial direction from the base 33 in the cylindrical main body 32, and has an inner diameter equal to that of the coaxial cable 40.
The outer periphery corresponds to the outer diameter of the cylindrical main body 32 by fitting it into the boundary between the insulating layer 43 and the outer conductor 42 of the coaxial cable 40, peeling the outer cover layer 41 and the outer conductor 42 from the insulating layer 43 and pushing them apart. It is formed into a wedge shape so as to come into pressure contact with the inner peripheral surface of the tapered hole. Reference numeral 35 denotes a tightening screw screwed into the peripheral wall of the cylindrical main body 32 from three sides, and 36 indicates a base 33 of the cylindrical main body 32.
It is a conductive central sleeve made of copper alloy or the like and supported through an insulator 37 therein. And 38
is a cap nut-shaped connecting fitting that covers the cylindrical main body 32 and connects to an external connector terminal (not shown).

Processing exposes the insulating layer 43 and the inner conductor 44.
Then, the tip of the cable 40 is connected to the cylindrical main body 3.
A cylindrical connecting portion 34 having a tapered wedge-shaped insertion tip is inserted into the cylindrical main body 32 and the cylindrical connecting portion 34 is inserted into the boundary between the insulating layer 43 and the external conductor 42 . The outer cover layer 41 and the outer conductor 42 are inserted until they come into contact with each other. After that,
By screwing in the three-sided tightening screws 35 screwed into the cylindrical main body 32, the outer covering layer 4 is tightened at the tip thereof.
1 and attach the outer conductor 42 to the cylindrical connection part 34.
Crimp contact is made to establish an electrical connection, and the entire connector is held and fixed to the coaxial cable. Further, at this time, the inner conductor 44 inserted into the center sleeve 36 is soldered at the tip of the sleeve 36, thus completing the installation work.

さらに向上することができる。 As is clear from the above description, according to the coaxial cable connector of the present invention, there is no need to expose the outer conductor of the coaxial cable to be attached, regardless of whether it is a braided wire or aluminum foil. There is no need to take special precautions, and when connecting to the connector, the outer conductor is held in pressure contact with the outer jacket layer between the inner circumferential surface of the tapered hole of the cylindrical main body and the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical connection part. By crimping and fixing the cables, the cables can be easily electrically connected to the connector side without soldering or the like, thereby improving the efficiency of the cable insertion work. In addition, since the mechanical strength of the connected external conductor is compensated by the outer covering layer, it has advantages such as improved reliability. It is extremely practical to apply. Incidentally, by stamping a scale for processing the tip of the coaxial cable on the outer circumferential surface of the connecting fitting 38 shown in FIG. 3, the installation workability can be further improved.
