Conventionally, in the outdoor unit of this type of air conditioner, the external sensor that detects the outside air temperature and the heat exchanger is placed in a suitable place in the machine room inside the heat exchanger, and the mounting parts to support it in a fixed position are complicated. If the sensor is located far away from the heat exchanger, it will not be possible to accurately detect the end of defrosting, and rain or snow that enters the machine room will fall directly on the external sensor, which may cause malfunctions. Depending on the installation position of the main unit, the external sensor could be exposed to direct sunlight, causing malfunctions.

In view of the above, this proposal bends the front end of the top plate covering the upper part of the heat exchanger downward to form a space for storing the sensor between this bent piece and the heat exchanger, and also A support plate is fixed across the space, and a mounting piece of the support plate is disposed within the space, and a sensor is attached to this mounting piece. With this configuration, the sensor can be easily installed, is not exposed to rain, snow, or direct sunlight, and can accurately detect the outside temperature.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Reference numeral 1 designates an air unit main body, which has an opening 7 formed between the side plates 2 and 3 in an exterior body 6 composed of both side plates 2 and 3, a back plate 4, a top plate 5, etc.
A heat exchanger 8, such as a so-called plate fin type heat exchanger 8, is installed to block the heat exchanger 8, and a blower 9 is installed at a suitable location such as the back plate 4 to draw outside air through the heat exchanger 8 and discharge it to the outside. It faces a ventilation chamber 10 formed between the back plate 4 and the heat exchanger 8. The heat exchanger 8
On one side, there is a partition plate 13 installed between the back plate 4 and the opposite side plate 3 or the tube plate 11 of the heat exchanger 8 with screws 12 or welding, and the ventilation room 10 is separated from the machine. A chamber 14 is formed, and a refrigerant compressor 15, predetermined equipment (not shown), etc. are disposed within this machine chamber 14. At the rear of the back plate 4, air outlets 16, 1 are provided on both sides or the back side, with a space between the back plate 4 and the back plate 4.
A cover 19 is disposed between the back plate 4 and a blow-out chamber 18 having a shape 7 formed therein.

The upper end of the partition plate 13 is extended and bent toward the opening 7 to form a support plate 20 that is fixed across the upper surface of the heat exchanger 8, and the front end of the support plate 20 is connected to the heat exchanger 8. The mounting piece 21 is made to protrude further and is bent further downward, and has a small distance from the heat exchanger 8.
An external sensor 22 for detecting a predetermined temperature such as the outside air temperature or the temperature of the heat exchanger 8 is placed in contact with the heat exchanger 8 or in close proximity to the heat exchanger 8 as in the embodiment, and attached to the mounting piece 21 using a suitable device such as a clamp 23. It is supported by means. Furthermore, the support plate 20 has a bending angle with the mounting piece 21 located in front of the heat exchanger 8.
A through hole 24 is bored in the upper part, and air in front of the mounting piece 21 is sucked into the ventilation chamber 10 through the through hole 24 by the suction force of the blower 9, passing through the heat exchanger 8.

The top plate 5 of the exterior body 6 has a bent piece 25 by bending the entire circumference or at least the peripheral edge of the front end downward, and the bent piece 25 extends in front of the external sensor 22 at a distance. It's covered. Therefore, the bent piece 25 is formed by extending its lower end downward from the mounting position of the external sensor 22, and forms a support space 26 that opens downward in front of the mounting piece 21 and the heat exchanger 8.

The lower end of the mounting piece 21 is attached to the bent piece 2 of the top plate 5.
It is desirable from a design point of view that it be located at the same level as or above the lower end of No. 5, and it is also desirable that it be made of a material with good thermal conductivity such as a steel plate. Furthermore, the mounting piece 2
1 and the bent piece 25 are the partition plate 1 as in the embodiment.
3 and the top plate 5 is the most desirable method because it simplifies the structure and simplifies the design and manufacturing process. Although the structure is a little more complicated, the desired effect can be expected. Reference numeral 27 denotes an opening/closing plate removably installed between the outer ends of one side plate 3 and the back plate 4, which closes off the sides of the machine room 14 and is removed when performing maintenance and inspection of the refrigerant compressor 15, etc. be.

As described above, according to the present invention, the unit top plate is assembled after the sensor is attached to the mounting piece of the support plate, so the sensor can be easily stored in the space between the bent piece of the top plate and the heat exchanger. can. Moreover, by storing the sensor in this way, it is not exposed to rain, snow, etc., or exposed to direct sunlight, and can accurately detect the outside temperature. This can prevent damage to the sensor.
