Conventionally, when the outdoor unit of this type of air conditioner is used for heating operation in winter, etc., the heat exchanger acts as an evaporator, so dew water adhering to the evaporator drips, requiring a dew catcher. . Therefore, there is a system where the entire bottom plate of the machine room is used as a dew pan.
The entire device is large, and it is difficult to clean the dew pan, and in extremely cold regions, the stored water can grow into ice blocks, which can press and deform the heat exchanger or cause damage.

In view of this point, this proposal is designed to receive an opening in a part of the outdoor unit's board to allow dew water dripping from the heat exchanger to drip onto the installation surface of the outdoor unit, so that the outdoor unit can be installed in extremely cold regions. Remove the dew pan from this opening to prevent dew water from freezing inside the outdoor unit, and if the unit is installed in an area that is difficult to freeze, attach a dew pan to the opening to drain dew water to the outdoor drainage channel. The windshield plate prevents outside air from flowing into the unit through the opening without passing through the heat exchanger when the dew pan is removed.

Examples will be described below with reference to the figures. Reference numeral 1 designates an outdoor unit body of an air conditioner, which is constructed by disposing a heat exchanger 3, a blower 4, etc. within an exterior body 2. The heat exchanger 3 is formed into a so-called plate fin type by attaching a large number of fins vertically and crosswise to a refrigerant tube bent in a serpentine shape, and also has tube plates 5 and 6 disposed on both sides, which are rotated relative to each other. The tube plates 5 and 6 are disposed on the base plate 7 by standing them upright on the support portion of the base plate 7 either directly or through appropriate supports. The substrate 7 has a cutout-shaped opening 8 that opens the lower facing portion of the heat exchanger 3 outward;
A container-shaped dew pan 9 with an opening at the top is inserted into this opening 8.
It is removably supported. Therefore, on both sides 8A and 8B of the opening 8, support pieces 10 and 11 for slidably placing both ends of the dew pan 9 are placed on the substrate 7, and on the connecting side 8C, the rear end of the dew pan 9 is placed. The supporting mounting piece 12 is formed by bending or cutting and forming the reinforcing leg 13 at an appropriate position. Reference numeral 14 denotes a blocking plate that is removably installed between the front ends of both sides 8A and 8B with screws 15, 15, etc., so as to close the opening of the opening 8. A wire rod is installed in contact with or close to the dew tray 9, and its upper end is extended upward to cover the outer surface of the heat exchanger 3, forming a so-called lattice shape or the like. A rising side 14A that locks the lower part of the guard 16 is formed. This rising side 14A is formed upwardly from the lower end of the heat exchanger 3, and is formed to have a length substantially close to the width of the heat exchanger 3, that is, the distance between the tube plates 5 and 6. 3 and the front of the board 7 with a small distance between them. Therefore, the rising side 14A is appropriately bent in a direction approaching the heat exchanger 3, and comes into contact with the guard 16 or presses the guard 16 against the heat exchanger 3. Also, the lower edge of the blocking plate 14 is connected to the base legs 17, 18.
It extends downward to near the bottom position.

The edge of the substrate 7 located at the connection side 8C of the opening 8 is bent upwardly to form a windbreak side 19. This windbreak plate 19 is formed to have a length substantially close to the width of the heat exchanger 3, that is, the distance between the tube plates 5 and 6, and
It covers the heat exchanger 3 with a small distance from the rear, or with the upper end in contact with the heat exchanger 3. Reference numeral 20 denotes a refrigerant compressor disposed at a suitable location inside the exterior body 2 on the side of the heat exchanger 3. A drain port 21 is provided in the dew pan 9 as necessary.
is formed. The rising side 14A and the windbreak plate 1
It is even better if both of the heat exchanger 9 are provided in contact with or very close to the lower part of the heat exchanger 3. Furthermore, the mounting piece 12 is formed into a reinforcing leg 13, and the edge of the substrate 7 facing the communicating side 8C of the opening 8 is formed into the mounting piece 1.
2, extending forward so as to face each other with a gap between them,
The rear end of the dew pan 9 is fitted between the mounting piece 12 and the substrate 7, so that the dew pan 9 can be held even by impact vibration in the vertical direction.

As described above, the present invention provides an opening that communicates with the installation surface of the unit in a part of the board of the unit, and installs the heat exchanger upright above this opening. Closes the gap between the edge of the opening and the lower edge of the heat exchanger, and the dew tray that is attached to receive dripping water from the heat exchanger and removed to allow the dripping water to drip onto the installation surface of the unit. Since it is equipped with a windbreak plate,
The dew pan, which receives dew water dripping from a heat exchanger, etc., can be easily cleaned by being removed from the main body, and can be removed in extremely cold regions where the dew water in the pan freezes and the dew pan becomes useless. It is possible to prevent the heat exchanger from being damaged by frozen ice blocks. Moreover, a space is required between the unit and the heat exchanger to attach and remove the dew pan, and when the dew pan is removed in extremely cold regions, outside air is sucked directly into the unit from the opening without passing through the heat exchanger. Although there is a risk that the heat exchange efficiency will decrease, this can be prevented by closing the gap between the edge of the opening and the lower edge of the heat exchanger with a windbreak plate. Further, this windproof side can be formed at the time of forming the substrate, resulting in a simple structure and also assisting in positioning the heat exchanger.
