[Detailed Description of the Invention] "Industrial Application Field" The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing decorative steel sheets in which a decorative veneer of natural wood is bonded to a rust-proofed steel sheet by heat pressure using an adhesive. This decorative steel sheet is used as a noncombustible building material or furniture material.

[Prior technology] Conventionally, there have been composite materials such as bonding a thick veneer to a sheet of paper with the same size or larger size as the steel plate, but it is possible to create a composite material by bonding a sheet of thick veneer to a sheet of paper that is the same size or larger than the steel plate. A free dimension decorative steel plate made by gluing decorative wooden veneers directly onto a steel plate has never been offered as a product. Even if a decorative natural wood veneer is glued to a steel plate, it will peel off immediately, making it useless as a decorative steel plate.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] Steel plates are extremely effective building materials for fire prevention, and if a decorative veneer of natural wood of any size can be pasted onto the surface of this steel plate. Its effectiveness as a fireproof building material is extremely large. This invention focuses on this point, and as a result of research, we have devised a method for manufacturing decorative steel sheets that does not easily peel off like in the past.

[Means for Solving the Problems] This invention involves applying an adhesive to the surface of a steel plate, polymerizing a decorative veneer of natural wood, and applying the adhesive to the surface of a steel plate for 3 to 30 minutes at a temperature of 70'C to 90°C.
This is a method for producing a natural wood decorative steel sheet by bonding a natural wood decorative veneer to a steel sheet by hot pressing for 0 to 50 seconds.

The steel plate used in this invention is preferably a steel plate whose surface has been subjected to anti-rust treatment, such as a galvanized steel plate, or it can also be applied to the steel plate surface of a board using a steel plate. The thickness of the steel plate can be selected from a wide range of about 0.2 to 3 mm.

In this invention, an adhesive is applied to the surface of the steel plate, a decorative natural wood veneer is layered on top of the adhesive, and this is inserted into a hot press and heat-pressed to perform the bonding process.
The processing temperature and processing time are important, and a good adhesion effect can be obtained by setting the processing temperature to 70° C. to 90° C. and the processing time to 30 seconds to 50 seconds.

[Effects of the invention] The method of this invention is extremely simple, and the decorative steel sheet produced by this method has a very good adhesion effect between the steel sheet and the decorative veneer, and does not peel off easily like conventional ones. Since the surface is made of natural wood veneer, it looks like an ordinary board is being used as is, and the inner surface is made of steel, making it extremely effective in terms of fire prevention. It can be used as wall material, partition material, long press, ceiling board, etc., and as a material for various furniture, and its uses are extremely wide.
