(Prior art) Conventionally, in the case of concrete flat roofs, in order to alleviate the expansion and contraction of the holding concrete 15, joint material for the earthen floor was placed in a grid pattern on a flat area several tens of millimeters away from the base of the parapet 13, as shown in Fig. 7. It was assigned to Some of these joint materials have a crown body 22 made of hard vinyl chloride covering the upper end of a plate body 21 made of foamed polyethylene, and non-vulcanized rubber 23 attached to the side and top surfaces of the crown body. This joint material deforms in response to the expansion/contraction and vibration of the holding concrete 15, and prevents the effects from reaching the building frame, waterproof layer 9, etc.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the above joint material, the rising portion 19 of the waterproof layer 9
The expansion/contraction and vibration of the holding concrete 15 in contact with the concrete 15 cannot be sufficiently absorbed, and excessive force is applied to the base of the parapet 13 and the waterproof layer 9, resulting in cracks 30 appearing at the base of the parapet 13, and the waterproof layer 9 breaking in the vicinity. There was a fear that it would happen. Therefore, rainwater permeates into the structure through the cracks 30 and fractured parts,
This resulted in peeling of the interior and exterior cloth, rims, and waterproof coating, which was not only aesthetically undesirable, but also caused the deterioration of the building frame to accelerate significantly. Also, to completely repair this,
Another problem was that it required a huge amount of labor and expense.

The joint material of the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, and before pouring the holding concrete 15, the side wall 3 having the chamfered part 11 at the lower end is brought into close contact with the rising part 10 of the waterproof layer, and the chamfered part 11
The joint material of the present invention is placed over the entire circumference of the roof while bringing the joint material into close contact with the bent portion 19 of the waterproof layer 9, and then the holding concrete 15 is poured so that it has approximately the same height as the top wall 2 of the joint material of the present invention. do. Next, bricks 17 are piled up on top of the upper wall 2 with mortar 18 up to the chin of the parapet 13, and the rising portion 10 of the waterproof layer is pressed to the upper end. When the holding concrete 15 expands, the joint material buried in this way
, 3 becomes narrower as the main body 1 deforms, the elastic layer 2 becomes narrower.
° is also compressed, and most of the expansion of the holding concrete 15 is absorbed by the deformation of the joint material, so that it does not affect the rising part 10 of the waterproof layer or the base of the rose bed 13.

As described above, the expansion joint material according to the present invention is provided with a side wall in contact with the waterproof layer attached to the base of the parapet and a side wall in contact with the edge of the holding concrete on both sides of the earthen wall, and a side wall in contact with the edge of the pressed concrete in the opposite direction. Since it has an elastic layer that is highly stretchable, most of the effects caused by the expansion of the holding concrete are absorbed by the joint material of the present invention and do not extend to the rising part of the waterproof layer or the base of the parapet, which prevents cracks from forming at the base of the parapet. There is no risk that the rising part of the waterproof layer will break.

Therefore, falling off of the exterior wall tiles, peeling of the waterproof coating, deterioration of the building frame, etc. caused by rainwater intrusion through cracks in the base of the parapet or breaks in the waterproof layer can be completely prevented by using the joint material of the present invention. Furthermore, the joint material of the present invention can be buried together with the pressing concrete when it is placed, and the construction can be done easily and without much effort.
