リンダブロツク部の強度、剛性アツプとシリンダ
ブロツク部の薄肉化を図り、機関の軽量化をも企

板製等のカバー6で閉塞されている。シリンダブ
ロツク3の横向きのシリンダ内径部3a内には横
向きにピストン7が摺動自在に嵌装され、シリン
ダヘツド部2には斜めに点火プラグ8が装着さ
れ、又中央部には吸・排気通路と燃焼室とを開閉
する弁9(図では一方のみを示す)が配設され、
弁9のステム9aはヘツド部2外方に突出し、こ
れの突出端をバルブロツカーアーム10の一端に
係合し、ロツカーアーム10の他端はシンダ軸線
方向に配設されたプツシユロツド11の一端と係
合している。クランクケース部4のシリンダブロ
ツク部外方部には下方に延出された支持部4bを
