Abstract

PURPOSE:To always display the amount of the oil in a cartridge oil tank, by providing a load variable resistor capable of obtaining a relatively large change in a resistance value on the basis of small displacement. CONSTITUTION:When there is no oil in a cartridge oil tank 2 and the position of the leg part 4A of an auxiliary oil tank 3 brings the press lid 5 of a variable resistor 10 to the state shown by a solid line, the max. value is shown between the terminals of a resistance plate 13. Next, when the press lid 15 is pushed down by the increase in a wt. due to the injection of the oil, the shortcircuit piece 14 of a load variable resistor 10 becomes almost flat as shown by a dotted line from a bow shape and the leg part 4A displaces downwardly by D and a resistance value shows the min. value. Then, the load variable resistor 10 changing in its resistance value to a large extent on the basis of small displacement in response to the wt. of the oil in the cartridge oil tank 2 and an ammeter are combined and predetermined voltage is applied to perform the display of the ammeter in relation to the amount of the oil in the cartridge oil tank 2. By this method, the amount of the oil in the cartridge oil tank 2 can be always displayed.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, a cartridge-type oil tank has often been used to replenish kerosene as fuel in heating machines called, for example, kerosene fan heaters. Although this is very convenient for handling, it does not measure the remaining amount of oil in the cartridge oil tank to display the time to replenish kerosene, but it does not measure the amount of oil remaining in the cartridge oil tank. The oil level is detected using a float switch, etc. Therefore, even if the remaining amount of oil in the cartridge oil tank becomes zero, as long as the oil V level in the auxiliary oil tank is at the full position, no indication that replenishment is required will be made. However, since the capacity of the auxiliary oil tank is very small, if normal combustion conditions continue, the oil must be refilled within a short period of time (for example, 10 to 20 minutes), which is inconvenient for users who are forced to suddenly replenish in the middle of a cold night. There is a side.

FIG. 1 schematically shows a cartridge tank for storing kerosene and other devices for a kerosene fan heater as an embodiment of the present invention, in which a small displacement in response to a load causes a fairly large change in resistance value. Details of the variable resistor are shown in FIG. 2 and subsequent figures. In Figures 1 and 2, symbol 1 indicates the base of the kerosene fan heater, and on the base 1, an auxiliary oil tank 8 for adjusting the oil level in which the cartridge oil tank 2 is placed is located on the bottom surface of the right end. The mounting plate 4 made of an elastic material is designed to be able to move up and down by a certain distance, for example, about 2 to 8 mm, depending on the weight of the oil in the cartridge oil tank.
The strength of the mounting plate 40 is designed so that it does not easily move in the direction of the pond. The combustion burner 5 is connected to the auxiliary oil tank 3 by a pump (not shown) and an oil feed pipe 5.
This is a well-known device in which the air heated by the heat exchanger 6 is sent into the ventilation chamber by a fan (not shown). In addition, cartridge oil f12
Since it is supported by the outer frame 9, guide plate 9A, etc. on the auxiliary oil tank 8, it can be considered that almost the entire weight is applied to the auxiliary oil tank 3. This fan heater has a control device for controlling the temperature and displaying the time, etc., arranged on the glint wiring board 7, and is provided with operation switches and a display panel 8, which are well-known. As this is the case, I will only give a brief illustration.

A leg indicated by the symbol 4A is attached to the lower surface of the left end of the auxiliary oil tank 8, and the lower surface of this leg 4A resists a relatively large width with a small displacement due to the load shown in detail in Fig. 2. A load variable resistor 10 whose value changes is fixed on a base 1. When the cartridge oil tank 2 is filled with kerosene, the mounting plate 4 on the lower surface of the right end of the auxiliary oil tank 3 is deformed within the elastic region due to its weight, and the leg s4A attached to the lower surface of the left end of the auxiliary oil tank 3 is displaced downward. Then, press down the cover 15 of the variable resistor 10 for load as shown in FIG. Displace. When all the kerosene in the cartridge oil tank is used up, it is set so that the restoring force of the mounting plate 4 causes it to rise by the distance indicated by the above-mentioned arrow. Strictly speaking, the pusher lid 15 receives an upward force due to the restoring force of the short-circuiting piece 14, which will be described later, but this force will be ignored for the sake of simplicity. The variable resistor 10 has a resistive plate 18 in which a carbon resistive surface is formed on an insulating substrate in a hollow portion surrounded by a strong outer frame 12 and a base 11 made of synthetic resin, and a phosphor bronze plate, for example, in contact with the resistive surface. An elastic short-circuiting piece 14, such as the one shown in FIG. The planar structure of the variable resistor 10 will be explained with reference to the plan view in FIG. A resistance plate 18 made of, for example, phenol resin is housed therein, and a carbon resistance coating 16 is formed on the resistance plate 13, and terminal portions 17 are metalized with a highly conductive material such as silver at both ends.
18 are formed.

Two small holes 18A and 11 are bored in the upper and lower portions shown in FIG. 8, which are slightly apart from the resistive coating 16 on the resistive plate 13.
The shorting piece 14 shown by the dotted line has 14A and 1 at the top and bottom in the longitudinal direction.
There are small protrusions indicated by 4B, each tip of which is bent downward and loosely fitted into the small holes 18A and 13B of the resistance plate 18 to prevent the shorting piece 14 from shifting. Sho 1
9A and 19B indicate screws to be attached to the base 1 of the fan heater.

Therefore, returning to FIGS. 1 and 2, if there is no oil in the cartridge oil tank and the position of the leg 4A of the auxiliary oil tank 8 is t't t, In the state shown in FIG. 1, the terminal section of the resistance plate 1B shows the maximum value, and when oil is put in and the presser cover 15 is pushed down due to the increase in weight, the shorting section 14 of the load variable resistor 10 becomes bowed. The shape becomes nearly flat as shown by the dotted line in Figure 2, and the part that shorts the carbon resistance coating expands, so the resistance decreases and when the cartridge oil tank is filled with oil, the leg 4A in Figure 2 becomes D. The resistance value is set so that it is displaced downward by the distance shown by and the resistance value shows the minimum value. For example, if a constant voltage power source 7A of DC 10 volts is provided on the printed circuit board 7 in the fan heater heater, and the terminal is connected to the display 8A on the display panel 8 through the variable resistor 10 so that a current flows, the above-mentioned The maximum resistance value of the variable resistor 10 is 9.9 kilo ohms, the minimum value is 900 ohms, and the resistance value of the display is 100 ohms.
Assuming ohms, when the oil level in the cartridge oil tank is zero, a current of 1 milliampere flows through the indicator, and when the oil tank is full, a current of 10 milliamperes flows through the indicator, so the position of the meter pointer at that time. It may be related to the oil amount display. The same effect can also be obtained by using a digital display that corresponds to the number indicating the remaining amount of oil.

As mentioned above, if there is a variable resistor that can take out the change in the weight of oil in the IJ oil tank with an extremely small displacement and change the resistance value over a fairly wide range, the present invention can be used. Can be used as a variable resistor. For example, as another embodiment, a configuration as shown in FIG. 4 can be considered.

The load variable resistor 20 shown in FIG. 4 is installed in a space of a pusher cover 22 which is held in a cylindrical base 21 made of a wt gas insulator with a gap shown by an arrow by a helical spring 26. The electrode plates 28 and 24 are placed on the top and bottom of the plate 214AI.
In between, a resistor 25 formed by dispersing carbon or metal particles in foamed resin is fixed to the upper and lower electrode plates 28 and 24. The resistance between 23 and 24 is the maximum value, and this is the weight of the cartridge oil tank in an empty state and the spring 26.
When the resistance is set at a balance position with the restoring force and the load becomes zero when the oil tank is filled with oil, the resistance is assumed to be the minimum value, and the indication on the indicator meter can be correlated to the oil amount.

Incidentally, even if the variable resistor for the load is interposed between the cartridge oil [2 and the auxiliary oil tank 3], it is possible to use a variable resistor that allows a large change in resistance value compared to a small proportion of displacement.

According to the conventional method of placing the cartridge oil tank on top of the auxiliary oil tank for oil level adjustment and measuring the oil level in the auxiliary oil for oil level adjustment, the level of oil in the auxiliary oil for oil level adjustment is measured regardless of the amount of oil remaining in the cartridge oil tank. However, by using a load variable resistor that can obtain a relatively large change in resistance value with a small displacement and an analog or digital indicator for indication as in the present invention, it is possible to reduce the amount of oil in the cartridge oil tank, which occupies the entire oil amount or most of it. Since the amount of oil is constantly displayed, it provides a great sense of security to the user, and it is also of great industrial value as it can be produced economically and at low cost.
