DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a 79-unit nut which is welded and fixed to a member to be mounted in order to attach a component to the member via a bolt. [Prior Art] When attaching an accessory to the body of an automobile, a weld nut is welded to the body by resistance welding, and the accessory is fastened to the weld nut via a bolt, which is widely known. For example, when this weld nut is welded to the back side of the body, if a rust preventive agent such as PVC sol is applied to the back side, the rust preventive agent will adhere to the screw hole 1a of the weld nut 1 as shown in Figure 5, and in the subsequent process. Fastening work using bolts becomes difficult. In addition, as shown in FIG. 6, the rust preventive agent may scatter onto the surface of the body 2 from the screw hole 1a of the weld nut 1 through the opening 2a of the body 2 to which the weld nut 1 is welded, staining other painted surfaces, etc. There's a problem. In order to solve these problems, conventional methods have been used as shown in Figure 7 (a).
), attach the masking material 3 to the surface of the weld nut 1 opposite to the welding surface with the body 2, and as shown in the same figure (b).
After applying the rust preventive agent as shown in FIG. 3, the masking material 3 was removed as shown in FIG. 3(c). Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 8, a bag-shaped weld nut 4 was welded to the body 2.

However, according to the above-mentioned conventional means, in the case of the weld nut 1 shown in FIG. 7, the number of man-hours required for attaching and detaching the masking material 3 to the weld nut 1 has been unfavorable, which hinders productivity. Furthermore, when the bag-shaped weld nut 4 shown in FIG. 8 is used, when the surface of the body 2 is painted, the paint accumulates inside the bag-shaped weld nut 4 and is difficult to discharge due to the air inside. If clogging occurs or the length of the bolt to be fastened is long, the weld nut 4 must be lengthened, which not only increases weight and cost but also poses a problem in automatically feeding the weld nut 4. was there.

Furthermore, in the proposal disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-45449, the threaded hole formed in the weld nut is closed with a sealing material, and therefore the problem of paint accumulation described above cannot be solved.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a weld nut having a welded portion on one side and a screw hole formed in the central axial direction, and an electrode support on the opposite side of the welded nut to the surface where the welded portion is formed. A bottomed cylindrical sealing member whose outer circumferential surface is in sliding contact with the thread of the screw hole from the surface is attached.

According to the above configuration, after the weld nut is resistance welded to the attached member, the paint that enters the weld nut during painting of the attached member is removed from the weld nut between the inner surface of the threaded hole of the weld nut and the outer circumferential surface of the sealing member. It is discharged from the gap formed by the valley of the weld nut, preventing air and paint from accumulating in the weld nut.

At the four corners of one side of the weld nut 5, which has a substantially square cross section, welding parts 5a are formed to slightly protrude, and at the opposite side, the weld nut 5 is welded to a member 2 to be attached, such as the body of an automobile. This serves as the electrode receiving surface 5b when Further, a screw hole 5c is formed in the center of the weld nut 5, passing through it in the axial direction. The sealing member 6 is formed of a thin plate in the shape of a cylinder with a bottom, and is inserted into the screw hole Sc from the one surface 5b side of the weld nut 5 by press-fitting means. The frictional force between the outer periphery 6a of the seal member 6 and the thread of the screw hole 5c prevents it from falling off easily during transportation.

The weld nut 5 into which the sealing member 6 is inserted is attached to the welding part 5.
After resistance welding to the attached member 2 via a, when painting the surface of the attached member 2 opposite to the surface to which the weld nut 5 is welded, the inner peripheral surface of the screw hole 5C of the weld nut 5 and the seal. Since a gap is formed by the thread trough between the member 6 and the outer circumferential surface, it is possible to prevent air and paint from accumulating in the weld nut 5. Furthermore, when the rust preventive agent is applied to the welded surface of the weld nut of the attached member 2, since the sealing member 6 covers the screw hole 5c of the weld nut 5, the rust preventive agent adheres to the screw hole 5c and other painted surfaces. There's nothing to do.

Further, as shown in FIG. 2, when a mounting member (not shown) is fastened to the mounted member 2 with a bolt 7, as the bolt 7 is tightened, the tip of the bolt pushes the bottom surface 6b of the seal member 6, and until the fastening is completed, Seal member 6 with weld nut 5

In this embodiment, a counterbore portion 5d is formed on the outer periphery of the screw hole 5c of the electrode receiving surface 5b of the weld nut 5, and a flange portion 6c is provided at the open end of the seal member 6 to abut against the bottom surface of the counterbore portion 5d. It is being The outer diameter of the flange portion 6c is smaller than the inner diameter of the counterbore portion 5d, and a screw hole 5c is connected to the bottom surface of the counterbore portion 5d and extends radially to the wall surface of the counterbore portion 5d. According to one embodiment in which a plurality of grooves 5e are formed, the flange 6c of the sealing member 6
Since the sealing member 6 is in contact with the surface of the counterbore portion 5d of the weld nut 5, the sealing member 6 can be stably attached to the screw hole 5c. Furthermore, since the paint and air blow through through the thread troughs and grooves 5e during painting of the attached member 2, they do not accumulate in the weld nut 5, and otherwise have the same functions and effects as the previous embodiments.

In each of the above-mentioned embodiments, the case where the weld nut 5 has a substantially square cross section has been described, but this cross-sectional shape is not limited to a square, but may be hexagonal, for example, and the number of welded parts 5a is also limited to four. It is not something that will be done.
