Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the communication in one and same LAN even at the fault of a PBX by connecting the LAN and a centralized control exchange PBX directly and using exchange function of the LAN for the information transmission/reception and connection/disconnection between equipments in the same LAN so as to avoid the load concentration to the PBX. CONSTITUTION:A decentralized control type LAN (Local Area Network) and a centralized control PBX are connected directly and the communication among entire information processing units DTE is executed by a unified procedure. Since the incoming and disconnection procedure between the PBX and the incoming DTE and the disconnection and call procedure between a caller DIE and the PBX are identical, the opposite party of the network user is selected while being unified with the subscriber number of the PBX and it is not required to recognize the LAN address of the opposite DTE. Moreover, the connection/disconnection and transmission/reception of information packet are executed by using an exchange function of the LAN in case of within the same LAN. Thus, it is possible to concentrate the load onto the PBX and even when the PBX is disabled of use due to a fault, the connection/disconnection and information packet transmission/reception between the DTE in the same LAN are enabled.

Conventionally, a distributed control LAN and a centrally controlled PBX, each having its own switching function, have different switching control methods, and therefore cannot be directly connected, but instead are connected via a gateway device. In this case, the user needs to take different measures such as using different partner selection methods for communication within the same LAN and communication outside the LAN via the gateway, so the user is required to Same LAN for communication
Efforts were made to have the gateway control the communication so that it appeared to be internal communication. In addition, a network that can execute unified procedures between information processing equipment (DTE) that constitutes a data terminal device is a LAN that does not have an exchange function by itself.
This was possible by connecting the DTE to a PBX, but since that network was also one centralized control type, all communication between DTEs had to go through the PBX.

The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate such conventional drawbacks, directly connect a decentralized LAN and a centrally controlled PBX, perform communication between all DTEs using a unified procedure, and communicate within the same LAN. For communication between DTEs, each DTE directly performs call disconnection control and information communication, thereby providing an information communication network that does not place a large load on the PBX and enables communication within the same LAN even in the event of a PBX failure. According to the information communication network of the present invention, since the call origination and disconnection procedures between the calling DTE and PBX and the call reception and disconnection procedures between the PBX and the called DTE are the same, network users can centralize their subscriber numbers to the PBX. This eliminates the need to know the LAN address of the other DTE. In addition, connection disconnection and information packet transmission/reception are performed on the same LAN.
Since the exchange function of the LAN is used within the PBX, it is possible to avoid concentrating the load on the PBX, and the PBX
Even if the DT becomes unusable due to a failure, etc., the DT within the same LAN
Connection disconnection and information packet transmission/reception between E is possible. Furthermore, the information packet transmission/reception procedure is also performed between the transmitting DTE and PB.
Since it is the same between X and between PBX and receiving DTE, each DTE
In this case, all procedures higher than the link level procedure defined by the LAN to which the user belongs can be made the same regardless of the partner DTH. In addition, the switching function provided by the PBX enables network construction not only by packet switching but also by circuit switching.

The communication procedure between the DTEI and DTE2 in FIG. 1 can be explained using FIG. 5. When information to be sent to the DTE 2 is generated in the DTEl, the information packet transmitting/receiving means 5 shown in FIG. After being added, the LAN access means 1 connects the LA
Sent to all other DTEs and PBXs within the NI. The procedure corresponds to (■) in FIG. A calling packet that has the broadcast notification address 99 specified by LAN1 as the packet destination LAN address and indicates that the connected party is number 0102 is sent to DTE2 and the PBX;
indicates that the packet is received as an incoming call notification packet. When the DTE 2 receives this packet using the LAN access means 1 and the incoming call notification/call completion notification packet receiving means 3, the self-subscriber number management means 6 knows that it is addressed to itself and uses the LAN address display means 7 to identify the packet. An incoming call acceptance packet having the LAN address of as additional information is sent to the DTEL by the calling/incoming call acceptance/disconnection packet sending means 4 and the LAN access means 1. In the bud 5 diagram, it corresponds to ■,
A packet with an incoming call is sent to DTE 1, with the LAN7 address 00 of destination DTE 1 as the destination LAN address and the LAN address 01 of DTE 2 as additional clarity.
4F in DTEL indicates that it is received as a call completion notification packet. When DTE 1 receives a call completion notification packet through LAN access terminal 1 and call notification/call completion notification packet receiving means 3, DTEI and DTE
This makes it possible to send and receive information packets between the two. In FIG. 5, it can be seen that information packets having the dominant LAN address as the destination LAN address are sent and received, corresponding to cases ① and ②. To end the communication, the information packet transmitting/receiving means 5 of the DTEL activates the call origination/incoming call reception/disconnection packet transmission means 4, and the LAN access means upstream DTE
, is established when a disconnection packet is sent to 2. In Figure 5, it corresponds to ■, and is the destination LAN from DTEl to DTE2.
A disconnection packet with address 01 is shown being sent. In this way, communication between DTEs within the same LAN can be performed without going through a PBX.

Furthermore, the broadcast notification means 9 of the PBX replaces the destination LAN address with the broadcast notification address OO of LAN2,
The LAN access means 8 sends the call notification packet to all DTEs within the LANZ (■ in FIG. 6). Since the subscriber number 0105 in the received call notification packet is its own, the DTE 5 uses its own LAN address 03 as additional information and sends an incoming call acceptance packet to the PBX (■ in Figure 6).
. The PBX replaces the additional information of the call acceptance packet received from the DTE 5 with the LAN address 02 in the PBX OLANI, and sends it to the DTEI as a call completion notification packet (■ in FIG. 6). This completes the call originating/receiving stage between the DTEs, and from then on, information packets are sent and received via the PBX (■ and ■ in FIG. 6). Cutting is done using DTEl
sends a disconnection packet to the PBX, and then the PBX sends a disconnection packet to the DT
This is done by issuing the same disconnection packet to E5 (■ and ■ in Figure 6).

In the above explanation, it is assumed that the procedures for disconnecting incoming/outgoing calls and transmitting/receiving information from the DTE to the PBX and from the PBX to the DTE are the same.
Although I have omitted the details of the fact that it can also be applied in between, for example, C
The packet and data procedures of CITT D
It is also readily apparent that it can be applied between TEs. By using such a procedure, if the procedures at the physical level of the LAN and lines and the data link level are implemented, it is possible to make all procedures at the network level and above the same. Also,
From this, even if the basic exchange function of PBX is line exchange,
Since this procedure can be executed between DTEs, there is no need to ask whether the basic switching function of the PBX is packet switching or circuit switching.

Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, for example, simultaneous communication between one DTE and a plurality of partner DTEs, which is impossible in this embodiment, is implemented using a LAN address + logical channel number using a logical channel number. It can be understood that it has extensibility, such as being made possible by managing it in the same way as the LAN address in the example. In addition, calls from DTP within the LAN can be made without using the "broadcast notification" function, as shown in FIG.
, information packet transmitting/receiving means 18, own subscriber number management means 19. In addition to the self LAN address display means 20, D

Since this is possible by having the LAN address management means 15 in addition to managing the LAN address of X, it can be understood that the present invention is also applicable to a distributed control type LAN that does not have a broadcast notification function.
