Conventionally, the end of a retaining wall was completed by stacking all retaining wall blocks, building formwork at both ends of the retaining wall, and pouring concrete into the formwork. As a result, it took a lot of time and effort to construct both ends of the retaining wall, prolonging the construction period for the entire retaining wall. At the same time, since the forming of both ends of the retaining wall is performed after the main body of the retaining wall is solidified, it is difficult to insert reinforcing materials such as reinforcing bars between the main body and the end-hardened concrete at both ends. As a result, only the edge-hardened concrete sometimes collapsed one to two years after the retaining wall was completed.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, this concrete block 12 consists of a pair of side walls 2, an inclined end surface 4, a vertical end surface 5, and a reinforcing web 6 that connects the middle of both side walls 2, 2. , forming a so-called shell structure. The block body 1 is formed with a vertical hole cavity 7 which is open at the top and bottom. Furthermore, rectangular thin wall portions 3 are recessed in the respective side walls 2 at the left and right positions of the reinforcing web 6 in FIG. Further, the lower end edge of the block body 1 forms an inclined convex surface 8 in the shape of an inverted V, and the upper end edge of the block main body 1 forms an inclined concave surface 9 having an inclination almost equal to the inclined convex surface 8. As shown in FIG. 8, the structure is such that the lower edges of the upper blocks fit into the upper edges of the lower blocks in order to prevent horizontal displacement. It should be noted that the concrete block of the present invention is of course not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and the other end surface 5 may be formed parallel to one inclined end surface 4, as shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, for example. good. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 13, the thin wall portion 3 may be recessed into a circular shape.

To solidify the edges of the retaining wall using the concrete blocks 12 of the present invention, proceed as follows. First, a plurality of retaining wall blocks 11 of the first stage are stacked in parallel on the foundation concrete 10 (FIG. 5). And the first
The first stage concrete blocks 12 of the present invention are stacked at the beginning and end of the stage. At this time, two thin walls 3 on one side of the main concrete block 12, which are attached to the starting end side (right end in Figure 5), are destroyed with a hammer, and a part of the side wall 2 penetrates to the vertical hole cavity 7 to form a destroyed hole. 14 (FIG. 8). At the same time, the two thin walls 3 on the other side of the concrete block attached to the end (not shown) are similarly broken and penetrated. Next, foundation concrete 10

A vertical strip 13 is provided upright in the vertical hole cavity 7. At the same time, the horizontal reinforcement 15 with its tip bent is inserted into the fracture hole 14 of the concrete block 12. Then, the horizontal reinforcement 15 is laid horizontally on the retaining part 16 of the retaining wall block 11, and the retaining part 16 and the concrete block 1 are
The vertical hole cavity 7 of No. 2 is filled with concrete. Then, retaining wall block 11 and concrete block 1
2 are integrated through the horizontal reinforcement 15 and the vertical reinforcement 13, and a strong end consolidation is formed. Similarly, the second and third stages are stacked one after another to construct a valley-stacked retaining wall as shown in Figures 5 to 9. In addition, each of the concrete blocks 12 of the first embodiment is used such that the length thereof becomes smaller as the upper stage increases (Fig. 6).
However, the concrete block of the second example (13th example)
In Figure), each block of the same size is used.
Further, since the thin wall portion 3 of the concrete block 12 is recessed from the side wall 2, the thin wall portion 3 can be easily recognized from the outside, and the hole 14 can be accurately penetrated there with a hammer or the like. . Further, the surface of the side wall 2 on the side where the broken hole 14 does not penetrate is exposed to the end hardening surface, but at this time, the recessed thin wall portion 3 forms a rectangular pattern or a circular pattern, etc., and constitutes a good-looking end hardening portion. do. Note that since the vertical hole cavity 7 is filled with concrete, there is no risk that the thin wall portion 3 will be destroyed by external force after the retaining wall is constructed. Next, FIGS. 10 to 12 show the use of this concrete block 12 for end consolidation of a masonry retaining wall.

The concrete block of this invention has vertical hole cavity 7.
A thin wall portion 3 is provided only on the outer surface of at least one side wall of the block body 1 having a middle portion excluding the entire peripheral edge portion thereof. Therefore, the thin wall portion 3
can be easily destroyed with a striking tool such as a hammer. Therefore, by inserting the horizontal reinforcement 15 into the fracture hole 14, filling the vertical hole cavity 7 with concrete, and burying the horizontal reinforcement 15 in the concrete of the retaining wall block 11, the entire retaining wall and the main concrete block 12 can be completed. By integrating these through reinforcing bars, the edges of the retaining wall can be consolidated extremely firmly.
At the same time, there is no need to assemble formwork to solidify the edges of the retaining wall as in the past, and the solidifying of the edges is completed at the same time as the retaining wall is piled up, allowing the retaining wall to be constructed quickly. Therefore, it has the effect of shortening the construction period. Further, since the block of the present invention has a thin wall portion recessed in the center of the outer surface of the wall portion, the breaking and penetrating operation can be carried out quickly. That is, the position of the thin wall part can be clearly seen from the outer surface of the wall part, and it is easy to guide a striking part such as a hammer there.
