This means that the discharge lamp is normally lit by a commercial AC power source, and when the commercial AC power source is cut off in an emergency situation, the built-in battery is used as a power source to operate the high frequency inverter, and the high frequency inverter is operated as a power source for future high frequency output. Therefore, the discharge lamp is turned on. By the way, this type of lighting equipment is required to display the voltage status of the battery using an indicator light. For example, when the battery voltage drops below a specified value, the indicator light is turned on.

Actually, the case 4 has a built-in circuit configuration as shown in FIG.

Reference numeral 4 denotes a high frequency inverter that operates using the battery 13 as a power source, and the discharge lamp 2 is lit in an emergency by the high frequency output from this inverter. 15 is a comparator, battery 13
The voltage of the reference power source 16 is compared with the voltage of the reference power source 16. Then, when the battery voltage becomes lower than the voltage of the reference power source 16, the output of the comparator 15 turns on the indicator light (for example, a light emitting diode) 17. In the conventional configuration, the case 4 houses circuits other than the commercial AC power supply 12 and the indicator light 17 shown in FIG.

Since a high frequency inverter 14 is present near the lead wire 5, high frequency waves may be induced in the lead wire 5 due to the high frequency output generated by the high frequency inverter 14 when it operates. Therefore, the indicator lamp 17 may be erroneously lit due to this induced high-frequency output.

7 is not used as an indicator light, but is simply used as a light source 6. This light source 6 is housed in the case 4 together with at least a high frequency inverter 14 and a comparator 15. For example, if the printed circuit board 7 on which the high frequency inverter 14 etc. is installed is installed inside the case 4,
A light source 6 is installed on this printed circuit board 7 (see FIG. 3). An optical fiber 8 is prepared, with one end surface 8A facing the light source 6 and the other end surface 8B directed outward from the wall 1A of the instrument main body 1. Optical fiber 8 is arranged along the inner wall of instrument body 1 .

The light from this point on is transmitted by the optical fiber 8 from one end surface 8A to the other end surface 8B. Therefore, the end face 8B
When viewed from the outside, it appears bright and shiny. This makes it possible to determine that the light source 6 has been turned on, that is, that the voltage of the battery 13 has fallen below the reference voltage.

Even so, the end face 8B does not shine brightly. In other words, no erroneous visual recognition occurs.

When installing on the wall 1A, the installation structure needs to be waterproof. For this purpose, the socket of the indicator light 17 and other parts must be made waterproof, which is a complicated structure. However, if the optical fiber of this invention is used, there is no need for a waterproof socket, and therefore the display structure has the advantage that it can be manufactured at low cost.
