Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable inexpensive and easy implementation in the inspection of a number of four-wheel drive vehicles with various wheel bases, by providing a free wheel rotation supporting device with a number of free rollers arranged in parallel to move a soft cover thereon as required. CONSTITUTION:A free wheel rotation supporting device provided before and after a speed meter tester and a brake tester is equipped with a soft cover 5 which is made mobile upward from below through a number of free rollers 1 arranged in parallel through a rope or chain 2. The use of the free wheel rotation supporting device large in dimensions with the rollers 1 enables the inspection of a number of four-wheel drive vehicles with various wheel bases. Only when a vehicle gets on or off the rollers 1 or when the apparatus is not used, the cover 5 comes over the rollers 1 and hence, wheels can travel thereover without slippage. In the inspection, the rollers 1 are exposed by a motor 3 thereby allowing free rotation of a vehicle thereon.

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は4輪駆動車等の車両検査方法及びその装置に関
するものである。最近フルタイム4輪駆動車、前輪駆動
車等の急速な発展に伴ない、これらの前輪及び後輪が駆
動軸と連結している特殊車両の検査方法及び装置が要望
されている。これらの車両においては例えば前輪をスピ
ードメータテスタ、ブレーキテスタにより回転しながら
検査しようとすると後輪が回転して車両が進行するので
(第3図(A)参照)、進行を止めるためには後輪をフ
リーローラ上で自由回転させなければならないが(第3
図(B)参照)、一方車両がフリーローラ上に乗り込み
又はフリーローラ上から脱出する際にはフリーローラ上
の進行は困難であるので何等か進行を容易にする工夫が
必要である。

ブレーキシューによる回転制御は実施が困難である。し
たがって多数のフリーローラからなる寸法の長い車輪自
由回転支持装置において乗込み及び脱出を容易にする方
法が求められる。

ている。すなわち、 並設されたスピードメータテスタ及びブレーキテスタの
前後に多数のフリーローラの並設になる車輪自由回転支
持装置を設け、該車輪自由回転支持装置にはブレーキ装
置付のモータからエンドレスのチエン又はロープを介し
て下方から上方に移動できるゴムベルト、金網等の各種
形状の柔軟性カバーを設け、前記フリーローラ上に乗り
込み又は該フリーローラから脱出する際及び不使用時に
のみ前記柔軟性カバーがフリーローラ上をカバーするよ
うにしたこと、である。

等の柔軟性のカバーである。(A)の状態ではフリーロ
ーラ上を柔軟性カバー5がカバーしているので車輪はそ
の上を滑りなく進行することができる。また車両検査時
にはモータ3により(B)の状態にするとフリーローラ
1が露出して車輪6がその上で自由回転できる。

び後輪が駆動軸と連結された車両の検査において、検査
すべき側の車輪を回転させながらスピードメータ、ブレ
ーキ等のテストを行う間中他の側の車輪はフリーローラ
上に載って自由に回転できるようになし、かつ該フリー
ローラ上に乗り込み又は該フリーローラから脱出する際
には該フリーローラ上にカバーを移動させて該カバー上
を進行するようにしたことを特徴とする4輪駆動車等の
車両検査方法。 2、並設されたスピードメータテスタ及びブレーキテス
タの前後に多数のフリーローラの並設になる車輪自由回
転支持装置を設け、該車輪自由回転支持装置にはブレー
キ装置付のモータからエンドレスのチエン又はロープを
介して下方から上方に移動できるゴムベルト、金網等各
種形状の柔軟性カバーを設け、前記フリーローラ上に乗
り込み又は該フリーローラから脱出する際及び不使用時
にのみ前記柔軟性カバーがフリーローラ上をカバーする
ようにしたことを特徴とする4輪駆動車等の車両検査装
置。
