Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the durability of a resilient member and at reducing the thickness thereof by forming the outer peripheral part of the resilient member so as to have an wave-like external shape as viewed in the side view thereof in conformity with the shape of a link plate in a chain. CONSTITUTION:Each link plate 6a in a chain 6 makes uniformly contact with the outer peripheral part of a resilient member 13 having a wave shape in its entirety so as to uniformly deform the resilient member 13. Due to the deformation of the resilient member 13 impacts which occur during meshing between a sprocket 3 and the chain 6 may be effectively and uniformly absorbed and damped. Thus, with the result of the uniform deformation of the resilient member 13, the distribution of compressive stress produced in the resilient member 13 may be made to be uniform, and the absolute value of the compressive stress may be entirely reduced so that the resilient member 13 may be prevented from being eccentrically worn while it is possible to aim at enhancing the durability thereof. As a result, the resilient member 13 may be made thin.

(The heat problem that the invention attempts to solve) However, in the sprocket shown in FIG. Since the elastic body 113 is in local contact with the elastic body 113 only at the hatched part, the impact absorption effect of the elastic body 113 is small, and the abrasion of the first elastic body 113 at the part a (contact part) shown in the figure is significant, and the durability of the elastic body 113 is reduced. There is a problem of decreased sexuality.

In addition, for the sprocket shown in Fig. 6, the chain 2
Since the portion 206a-1 of each link plate 206a of 06 with the bottle 215 hits the elastic body 213 first and leaves the elastic body 213 last, local wear of the elastic body 213 can be avoided. Does it need to be thicker overall?

The sprocket 3 is constructed by baking ring-shaped elastic bodies 13.13 onto both sides of a main body 12 having a plurality of teeth 12a on the outer periphery. That is, a plurality of (five in the illustrated example) circular holes 12, b, etc. are bored on the same circumference of the main body 12, and both elastic bodies 13, 13 are provided with circular holes 12, b, and so on. They are connected and integrated by the filling columnar elastic bodies 14--. The outer diameter of each elastic body 13 is equal to the tooth 1 of the main body 12.
The diameter of the tooth bottom of the chain 6 is smaller than the diameter of the tooth bottom of the chain 6 shown in FIG. The convex portions 13a and the concave portions 13b are continuous alternately.
