Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately set a paper between a platen and a head in parallel to the platen and achieve clear printing, by disposing a paper-feeding roller and a pressure roller so that the line connecting the centers of the rollers is orthogonal to the paper, and feeding the paper along a rectilinear path by the rollers. CONSTITUTION:A paper 12 is inserted from the upper side of a printer, and is discharged vertically downward along a rectilinear path. The feeding of the paper 12 is carried out by clamping the paper between a paper-feeding roller 10 and a pressure roller 11, which are so disposed that the line connecting the centers of the rollers is orthogonal to the paper 12. Since the paper is thus fed along the rectilinear path, the paper is prevented from being curled, the load at the time of feeding a thick paper is not considerably different from the load at the time of feeding a thin paper. In addition, since the paper can be opposed to a platen in parallel to the platen, clear printing can be achieved.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention is a paper feeding mechanism of a printer, and in particular, even when thick paper such as postcards is used as paper, the paper does not deform, and the load for feeding the paper is compared to that of ordinary paper. This paper-feeding mechanism for printers does not differ much from that of paper feed mechanism.

Generally, as a paper feeding mechanism for a printer, one shown in FIG. 5 or 6 is known. That is, FIG. 5 is a schematic side view of a conventional paper feeding mechanism.
In the figure, 1 is a paper feed roller, and 2 is a pressure roller that corresponds to the paper feed roller 1 and is urged toward the paper feed roller 1 by a spring 3. Further, 4 is a feed guide for the paper 5, and this feed guide 4 has a slightly curved shape, and the supplied paper 5 is sent between the platen 6 and the head 7 as if being rolled up by the paper feed roller 1, and is printed. will be done. Further, FIG. 6 is a schematic side view showing another conventional example, in which a pressure roller 2a corresponding to the paper feed roller la is arranged above the feed guide 4a. Note that 8 in the figure indicates an ink ribbon cassette.

However, according to the paper feeding mechanism of the conventional printer as described above, the paper 5 is always curled in the advancing direction when it is fed between the platen 6 and the head 7, and this is not a problem with ordinary thin paper such as type paper. When sending thick paper such as postcards, the paper feeding load becomes large, and in order to cope with this, the torque of the motor must be increased, which leads to an increase in cost. Since it is strong, it also has a large repulsive force when curled, and it is not set parallel to the surface of the platen 6 and falls toward the head 7, making it difficult to print clearly. Here, for such cardboard, Utility Model Application No. 61-1205
It is possible to install a separate paper feeder as described in No. 47, but in this case, the cost will increase by the amount of the separate paper feeder, and the probability of failure will also increase. turn into.

Therefore, the present invention has been made by focusing on the problems of the related art, and solves the problems, and even when thick paper is used as paper, the load is not much different from that when using thin paper. The existence of a special paper feeding device is also unnecessary,
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a paper feeding mechanism for a printer that can reduce the cost of the product and smoothly produce clear print.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve this object, the paper feed mechanism of the printer according to the present invention makes the line connecting the centers of the paper feed roller and the pressure roller perpendicular to the paper, and , the paper is fed linearly by the paper feed roller and the pressure roller.

As mentioned above, by feeding the paper in a straight line, the paper will not curl, and even if thick paper is used as paper, the load to feed it will not be much different from that of thin paper.
Furthermore, since the paper can be opposed parallel to the platen, the printing becomes clearer, and there is no need for a special paper feeding device for thick paper, which can reduce costs.

Reference numeral 11 in FIG. 1 indicates a pressure roller, and the pressure roller 11 and the paper feed roller 1O are arranged side by side with respect to the installation position of the printer so that the line connecting their center points is horizontal. Furthermore, 12 in the figure indicates a paper, and the paper 1
2 is inserted from the top of the printer and ejected vertically and linearly downward. The paper 12 is fed by the thickness of the paper feed roller 10 and the pressure roller 11, and the line connecting the center points of the paper feed roller 10 and the pressure roller 11 is perpendicular to the paper 12. There is. In the figure, 13 is a platen, 1.4 is a head, 1

Further, FIG. 2 is a schematic side view showing a second embodiment of the present invention, and in the case of this second embodiment, the paper feed roller 10a and the line connecting the paper feed roller loa and the center point are horizontal. A pressure roller lla, which is biased toward the paper feed roller 10a by a spring 16, is arranged in parallel at a position where this state is achieved. Again 1
In the figure, reference numeral 17 denotes a paper feed guide whose discharge portion is formed below the paper feed roller 10a, and the r4 paper 12a is supplied between the head 14a and the platen 13a through this paper feed guide 17 (as in the conventional case). In the case of thick paper 12b, it is directly fed between the paper feed roller 10a and pressure roller lla from below the printer without going through the paper feed guide 17, and in the case of both thin paper 12a and thick paper 12b, it is fed directly between the paper feed roller 10a and the pressure roller lla. The configuration is such that the paper is ejected upward.

Further, FIGS. 3 and 4 are side views showing a third embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1, tab is a paper feed roller, and 11b is a line connecting the paper feed roller tob and the center in a horizontal state. A pressure roller is provided. In addition, 17a in the figure is the support shaft 1.
8 is a paper feeding guide which is rotatable and whose surface is arcuate, and this paper feeding guide 17a is a third
As shown in the figure, when the thin paper 12a is used as paper, its leading edge is connected to the paper feed roller tob and the pressure roller l.
As usual, thin paper 12a is fed along the paper feed guide 17a, and the paper is ejected upward while being curled.

Also, as shown in FIG. 4, when using thick paper 12b as paper, rotate the paper feed guide 17a to separate its tip from between the paper feed roller 10b and the pressure roller llb, and then move the paper feed guide 17a It is assumed that the liquid is supplied from above the printer and transferred in a straight line without using the liquid. The cardboard 12b may be ejected downward as it is, or may be reversed and ejected upward. In the figure, 13b is a platen, 14b is a head, and 15a
indicates an ink ribbon cassette, and 19 indicates a paper feed motor.

As described above, according to the paper feeding mechanism of the printer according to the present invention, at least when thick paper such as postcards is used as paper, the paper is fed in a straight line and ejected, and the paper is not curled, so the load is not as great as when using thin paper. No change,
The paper is set accurately parallel between the platen and the head, making it possible to obtain clear prints. Furthermore, since no special paper feeding device is required, product costs can also be reduced.
