Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation by providing a writing stand along the upper face of which recording paper is moved and leading the recording paper from a transmission section to a reception section so as to connect and incorporate the transmission and reception running system thereby attaining small size and less cost. CONSTITUTION:Thermosensing recording paper is in contact with an idler 2 while its surface (thermosensing member coated face) is directed downward, and runs on a writing stand 3 while its rear face is directed upward, and passes between a read sensor 4 and a transmission roller 5 and between a thermal head 6 and a reception roller 7. Then a transmission original is hand-written on the rear side of the recording paper 1 on the writing stand 3, converted into a picture signal by the sensor 4, and the signal is sent. Then the recording paper 1 finished for the transmission is pooled for a proper length between the sensor 4 and the head 6. In case of the reception, the recording paper 1 poled in this way is printed sequentially by the head 6, and if the pooled length is longer than a prescribed length, the reception roller 7 is driven to control the length to be less than a prescribed length. The recording paper 1 is used in common as the transmission original in this way, then the equipment is made small in its size and inexpensive in its cost and the operation is facilitated.

A facsimile machine for sending and receiving extremely simple handwritten information is required to be small and easy to operate. However, in the conventional facsimile machine described above, the paper for sending and receiving paper runs separately. Since it is processed in a system, there is a limit to miniaturization and it requires complicated operations.

Thermal recording paper 1 has a front surface (i.e., the side coated with a heat-sensitive material)
It is attached so as to be in contact with the idler 2 with the lower side facing up, to pass over the writing table 3 with the back side facing up, and to pass between the reading sensor 4 and the transmitting roller 5, and between the thermal head 6 and the receiving roller 7. The transmission original is characters and figures handwritten on the back side of the thermal recording paper 1 on the writing table 3, and is converted into an image signal by the reading sensor 4 and transmitted. The thermal recording paper 1 that has been sent is pooled between the reading sensor 4 and the thermal head 6 for an appropriate length as shown by the broken line. In the case of reception, the thermal head 6 sequentially prints on the pooled thermal recording paper 1. Incidentally, when the pooled length becomes longer than a certain fixed length, the receiving roller 7 may be driven to perform control such that the pooled amount of the recording paper 1 becomes less than a certain fixed length.
