[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention provides a method for covering concrete with a foam insulation layer when concrete is constructed in cold weather, and when a specified strength cannot be obtained due to freezing or insufficient hardening due to the low temperature. This relates to a concrete curing method that enables construction of concrete structures (the same applies to concrete products) in cold weather through adiabatic hardening.

Conventionally, when curing a concrete structure during the winter, the surface was covered with an insulating mat rather than using a temporary enclosure or a simple method of curing heat supply using electric heating, burners, hot water, etc. When covering with temporary fences or mats, the joints may separate and outside air may flow in, reducing the heat retention effect. Also, prototype insulation formwork has been produced with foamed polyethylene plates sandwiched between the formwork, but it is expensive and is not yet practical. It has not reached the stage yet.

The present invention is a concrete curing method that uses foam coating with high heat insulation effect in place of the conventional temporary enclosure and heat supply curing, which is easy to construct and inexpensive, and enables concrete curing in cold weather. It is a technical challenge to provide an excellent concrete curing method in which the foam used in concrete can be easily dissolved and washed away with a steam cleaner.

A structure or product is made by pouring concrete 1 into a formwork 3, and foam is applied to the outside of the formwork 3 to form a foam heat insulating layer 2. (4 is the surrounding frame.) This bubble is a patent application made in 1983-7.
It is preferable to use foam whose main component is gelatin produced by the production method of No. 5579, and to produce the foam using the foam production apparatus of Japanese Patent Application No. 57707/1983.

This time we conducted an experiment on concrete curing using foam using a bottom greenhouse at -10℃, and the results are 30cxx
The measurement table shown in Figure 3 summarizes the results of using two concrete blocks of 30cxx x 30cm and a volume of 2700ax, one of which was cured with foam and the other of which was left uncured without curing. As can be seen from this measurement table, one of the curing organisms is in a state where the cement hydration reaction is progressing and the initial curing has been sufficiently achieved, but the other non-curing organism is in a state where the temperature rapidly decreases and the cement water is insufficient. The curing reaction is in a state of suspension and initial freezing, and the superiority or inferiority of the initial curing effect is clear.

As mentioned above, the present invention covers the surface of concrete with a foam insulation layer so that the heat of hydration generated when concrete hardens does not escape to the outside, so that the hydration reaction of cement progresses and initial curing is sufficient. achieved.

Therefore, concrete construction in winter and in cold regions is currently severely restricted due to the difficulty of initial curing, but if initial curing can be easily done on site as in the present invention, it will be possible to construct concrete structures year-round. This is a huge advantage for civil engineering contractors.

Formation of this foam heat insulating layer can be made simply by spraying foam, and it can also be sprayed uniformly onto the concrete surface, which has excellent practical effects such as improving construction efficiency.
