Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the utilization efficiency of a line, and to lighten the operation of an operator by providing a detecting means which detects the state of the line, an instructing means which performs the instruction of a communication request, and a means which informs that the line can be used, when the line comes to the state that the use of it is permissible, on condition that the communication request has been instructed. CONSTITUTION:For instance, the line is assumed to be the ISDN line of 2B+D, i.e. one channel D and two channels B. When the channel B is being used, and a call can not be performed, a device, the B-CH vacancy informing function of which is registered by the operator, monitors the sequence of a channel D signal, and decides whether the channel B1 is vacant or not. At the point of time when the state that the channel B is vacant is confirmed, it rings a ringing and calls the calling side operator.
