Even if the hardness of silicone rubber is 40 degrees, it will be 70 to 80 degrees when covered. If the surface of the pressure roller is hard, the nip width between the pressure roller and the heating roller will be narrow, resulting in poor fixation of toner onto copy paper.

A material with a porosity of 50 φ to 90% is used, and the thickness of the porous layer is 1 mm or less. Further, the PTFE porous membrane should be as thin as possible, and a sheet having a thickness of 100 μm or less is optimal.

Therefore, the releasability of the toner can be maintained for a long period of time. Also, since a porous PTFE layer is provided below the non-porous fluororesin layer, the surface hardness of the rubber remains almost the same before and after being covered. It is possible to improve the fixation of toner on copy paper.

A porous PTFE membrane (12) created by extruding and rolling an FE resin mixture, then heating it to about 327°C or higher while stretching it in at least one direction in an unsintered state.
(manufactured by Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., trade name, Boa-Fron'') using a silicone-based adhesive, wrap only one layer of silicone in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the row, and in the same direction as the stretching direction of the membrane. Glue it with rubber, polish the wrapping end, wrap a layer of FEP film with a thickness of 25 μm over it, and press it with a heating roller with a surface temperature of 620°C to heat-fuse it to the PTFE porous membrane. .
