本発明の一実施例を更に説明すると、養殖せる熱帯産の

し、水洗後振動ミル等で湿式破砕し、此を洗浄乾燥せる
もの300gを通常の方法で煮熟抽出し、S厚なるゾル
10.85Kgを得た。此を強度測定箱に収容し摂氏2
0度の恒温槽で12時間凝固せしめたゲルのゼリー強度
は870であった。これを凍結乾燥した寒天重量は18
8gであり原料に対する収得比率は56zで、溶液に対
して1.58%であった。此は南米産原料に比し遜色の

低温処理した後振動ミルで破砕洗浄後、通常の方法で煮
熟抽出すると粘性の強い天草の糊(アガロース)と言わ
れる寒天買が得られ其のゼリー゛強度1200の好成績
示し、乾燥原料に対する寒天収率は38%であった。此
は現地に多量に産出するオゴモドキ等凝固力無き海草類
との混合使用に依り生産原価の低減につながるものであ

天の主原料であるおごのりが、其需要量の8ozを遠く
中南米より輸入していた処、最近に至り現地に大規模の
寒天工場が設立せられた結果、対日輸出原料が著しく制
限せられるに至った実状があり、この対策として供給源
を東南アジア地区に求め調査した結果1例えばインドネ
シア共和国セレベス島周辺にはエンペンと称する養魚池
が数万ヘクタール存在し、其大半は利用されていない事
が判明した。そこで遊休養魚池を利用しておごのりを養
殖して対日輸出を企て兼ねてより現地に於て此を実施し
た処予期以上の好結果を得たので従来使用出来なかった
原料を使用可能とする極めて優れた寒天の製造方法であ
