Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of strange sound quickly at low cost by a method in which a buffer is set on a protector receiving frame to be touched by the protector cover and the upside of the buffer is fixed and covered with an one-sided adhesive tape. CONSTITUTION:A butyl tape as a buffer material 3 is set on the contact face between a protector cover 1 and a protector frame 2, and the upside of the buffer material 3 is fixed and covered with an one-sided adhesive tape 4. Unfamiliar sound generated when passing through the upside of the protector can thus be prevented by the buffer material 3. The occurrence of unfamiliar sound can be prevented quickly at low cost and the intrusion of rain water into the protector can also be prevented.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a method for repairing a protector that has a defect in its lid and underframe, which can be easily and inexpensively repaired on site.

The term "protector" as used in the present invention refers to a structure that is installed on a road to operate or investigate attached equipment such as water intakes, valves, terminal terminals, etc. of gas pipes, and the types are small square and round. There are large corners, manholes, etc.

Conventionally, some protectors that have been installed on roads for more than a few years generate abnormal noises when a vehicle passes over them, and this percentage is as high as about half. The volume of the abnormal noise generated by the protector was measured at a point 5 meters away from the protector, with an average of 82 phon and a maximum of 100 phon, far exceeding the environmental standards of 65 phon during the day and 60 phon at night. For this reason, when complaints about noise occur, the protector is replaced, but this replacement requires time and a great deal of expense.

A state in which there is a problem with the protector lid and the receiving frame refers to a so-called loose state in which all contact surfaces of the protector lid and the receiving frame do not come into close contact with each other, and it was found that this problem and the generation of abnormal noise occur as follows. That is, when a vehicle passes over the protector, the vibration causes sand around the protector to flow between the protector lid and the receiving frame.

When a vehicle passes over this, the inflowing sand acts as an abrasive and wears out the protector lid and the receiving frame. If this condition continues, the protector lid and the receiving frame will wear unevenly, and the gap between the protector lid and the receiving frame will expand, causing a problem.

When a vehicle passes over a defective protector, the weight of the passing vehicle causes the portion of the protector lid that has a large gap with the protector frame to slam against the frame. On the other hand, since the protector lid and the receiving frame are made of iron, a strong impact sound is generated when the protector lid is struck against the receiving frame.

The inventors investigated the cause of abnormal noise and found that
The main sources of noise are defects in the protector lid and support frame, ■cracks between the protector support frame and the concrete base, ■damage to the protector itself, ■defective protector installation, and ■defective paving. Approximately 70% of the noises are caused by defects in the lid or receiver frame, so it was found that if the protector in this condition could be repaired, most of the causes of abnormal noise could be addressed.

A cushioning material (3) with elasticity, impact resistance, weather resistance, water resistance, etc. is installed at the part where the protector holder frame (2) contacts the protector lid (1), and one-sided adhesive is placed on top of this cushioning material (3). By fixing and covering with the tape (4), the gap between the protector lid (1) and the protector holder frame (2) is enlarged and the abnormal noise generated by the protector when a vehicle passes over the defective protector. This was made to prevent this.

The implementation procedure is to remove the protector lid [1], install a cushioning material (3) at the part where the protector lid (1) and the protector holder frame (2) meet, and fix it on top of this with single-sided adhesive tape (4). By using this single-sided adhesive tape, the cushioning material does not stick to the protector lid (1), which helps to ensure good opening and closing of the protector lid (1).
