着されるパツキンと、 (c) 一カ所で切断されている環状の食込みリング
であつて内径端が外径端より軸線方向側に位置
し、前記外径端は前記第二の環状凹部の内壁と
遊嵌状態で係合するとともに、前記内径端は前
記管の環状溝と係合する食込みリングとを有す
る管継手である。

ジング1,1′の中央には外周壁4と円錐面状の

室内には接続すべく対向させた管17,17′に
跨つて弾性材から成る環状のパツキン6が装着さ
れている。パツキン6の内周側には両端部に管軸
方向内向きのリツプ7,7′が形成され夫々、管
17,17′の端部外周面に密接している。パツ
キン6の中央部8は外周側に空隙9を形成して径
方向に縮小されておりリツプ7側の空隙10を小
さくして管路内の圧力が負圧になつた場合のリツ
プ7の過大な変形を防止している。ハウジング
1,1′上記パツキン室内の両側にはテーパ面状
の側壁11と平行面状の周壁12とを有する端部
室が設けられており、この端部室に組付状態では
前記の側壁11や周壁12との間に間隙を有し遊
嵌状態で外径側にテーパ面14、平行外周面15
が形成された断面形状が内径側に向けて先細りの
円錐環状の食込みリング13,13′が装着され
ている。食込みリング13,13′は円周上の一
ケ所が切欠かれており、自由状態では管外径より
小さい内径を押拡げて管17,17′に装着し、
その内径端16を管外面の溝18,18′に係止
させている。食込みリング13,13′は硬質の
金属材質であり、焼入した鋼材質等刃先の硬さ
HV500〜550にしたものがよい。刃先は内径端1

が可能である。また配管後に管の熱膨脹等による
軸方向の伸びや曲げ応力が加わつた場合でもハウ
ジングの中央側に移動する分について第一の環状
凹部に収容されたパツキンのみによる遊嵌状態で
結合されているため食込みリングが管の溝から外
れることなく、上記配管に加わる変形応力が吸収
してシールを保持することができる。また管17
が何らかの外力で離脱方向に働くと食込みリング
13等は外径側がハウジングの端部室に支承され
るので外径端を支点として管軸に直角な平板状と
なるように変形し内径13等が縮径されて管の溝
18に更に深く食込み管の抜けに対して確実に防
止することができる。
