(Conventional technology) In recent years, the environmental pollution problem caused by solvents in adhesives and adhesives that use solvents has become a serious issue), and hot-melt adhesives and adhesives have become widely used from the viewpoint of energy and resource conservation. It is starting to be used. A block copolymer consisting of styrene-conjugated diene-styrene is generally used as the base polymer for this hot-melt adhesive. However, because the block copolymer contains polystyrene, the adhesive obtained using this block copolymer has poor adhesive performance at low temperatures.
In particular, the adhesive strength is insufficient, and there is a problem with the adhesive strength when used in winter or in cold regions, or when used on refrigerated or frozen products.

Furthermore, this styrene-conjugated diene-styrene block copolymer has a high viscosity when melted due to agglomeration of the styrene moieties, and therefore requires extremely high temperatures during hot-melt mixing and coating. As a result, thermal deterioration of the polymer occurs, and the performance of the resulting adhesive appears to be extremely low. In order to avoid thermal deterioration due to high temperatures, improve workability during hot melting, and improve adhesive strength at low temperatures, it is common practice to add plasticizers and softeners such as process oil to adhesives. This can reduce melt viscosity and improve adhesive strength at low temperatures to some extent. However, adhesives containing process oil have poor cohesive strength at relatively high temperatures, oil, etc. can bleed from the adhesive and contaminate the adhesive base material or adherend, and adhesive performance may change over time. There are problems such as large size.

In addition, adhesives using styrene-conjugated diene-styrene block copolymers do not necessarily have sufficient adhesive strength, especially adhesive strength to polyolefins, and their range of use is currently limited.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, the purpose of the present invention is to avoid impairing the excellent performance originally possessed by hot-melt adhesives using styrene-conjugated diene-styrene block copolymers. According to the present invention, the above object is achieved by using a styrene-conjugated diene-styrene block conjugate. This is achieved by providing a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a polymer and a conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer.

The styrene-conjugated diene-styrene block copolymer used in the present invention is styrene-isoprene-
In addition to styrene copolymers, styrene-butadiene styrene copolymers, and the like, examples include those obtained by partially or completely hydrogenating the didine portion of these copolymers. Among these, styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymers are preferably used. Conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene block copolymers are entangled with a polymer portion consisting of one or more types of conjugated diene monomers such as isoprene, buta-diene, piperylene, etc. and a polymer portion of styrene. It is a block polymer with a molecular weight of t
o, o o o~70. Generally used is one in which the weight ratio of QOO styrene to conjugated diene is 5/95 to 50150, and the amount of 1,4 bonds in the conjugated diene portion is 70 or more. The molecular weight of the diblock copolymer is 10,
If it is less than 70,000, the performance of the resulting adhesive will be poor and it will not bleed easily. On the other hand, if it exceeds 70,000, the plasticizing effect will be poor and workability will not be improved, and the low-temperature properties will deteriorate. No improvement effect was observed. If the styrene/conjugated diene IT ratio is less than 5/95, bleeding is not likely to occur; on the other hand, if it exceeds 50,150, the low temperature properties will rather deteriorate, which is not preferable. In addition, one of the conjugated diene moieties of this conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer
, 4 bonding amount is less than 70, it is not desirable because the effect of improving the hard polymer and i6 low-temperature properties may be absent, or the adhesive properties may be impaired.

Such a conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer can be easily obtained by an anionic polymerization method. For example, using alkyl lithium as a catalyst,
It can be obtained by sequentially polymerizing a conjugated diene, styrene, and a conjugated diene, or by bonding a polymer obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene and a styrene in this order by an appropriate method to form a conjugated diene-styrene-conjugate. It is also possible to make it into a diene type. It is also possible to polymerize styrene and conjugated diene in this order using a bifunctional alkyllithium catalyst to obtain a block copolymer of conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene. As the diene component of this block copolymer, imprene is most suitable from the viewpoint of adhesive properties.

The styrene-conjugated diene-styrene block copolymer and the conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer are usually used in a weight ratio of 97/to 0/40. If the ratio of the conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer to the styrene-conjugated diene-styrene block copolymer is smaller than the above range, no improvement in adhesive properties will be obtained; If it exceeds this range, it will be difficult to obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition with sufficient adhesive performance.

There are particular restrictions on the amount and type of tackifying resin used in this case.
Rather, one or more types may be added in appropriate amounts depending on the required performance of the adhesive. As compounding agents, antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers, and fillers such as calcium carbonate and titanium oxide are used. It is also possible to add process oil and a low molecular weight polymer of conjugated diene as plasticizers in such amounts as to impair the spirit of the present invention. In this case, the amount of these plasticizers used is preferably less than half the weight of the conjugated diene-styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer.
