格子型の手摺りでは各竪桟の組子の上端部を笠木
に対してT字形に連結すると共にその下端部を横
桟やアンカー金具等の立設用部材に連結する必要
があり、しかして、各組子の上端を笠木にT字形
に連結するにあたつては筒状の組子を用いこれに
長尺ボルトを挿通してこのボルトの上端ねじ部を
笠木に対し螺着する方法が従来一般に行われてい
るが、この従来方法においては各ボルトの上端ね
じ部を笠木の底壁部等に設けた1ケ所のめねじ部
にねじ込んでいた。ところが、このように各ボル
トの上端部を笠木の1ケ所にのみ螺着しただけで
はその螺着部が不安定であつて、各組子の上端面
が笠木の底壁部下面に当接していても、笠木に外
力が加わつた場合にボルトと笠木との連結部に回
転が生じ、このため組子が傾斜状に変形して笠木
に対するT字形の連結状態が崩れるという不都合
があつた。
