CONSTITUTION:The on-screen display stabilizing circuit 5 consists of a low pass filter circuit 6, a waveform shaping circuit 7, and a delay circuit 8 such as a rear edge delay type monostable multivibrator. Since the on-screen display stabilizing circuit 5 is constituted such that the count of the horizontal synchronizing signal is inhibited or made ineffective and the CGP giving adverse effect onto the positioning of the on-screen display is masked substantially, disadvantages such as the deviation of the on-screen display position due to the effect of the CGP or vertical movement of the on-screen display in the field period are prevented surely.

れた垂直同期信号の後部に7箇所、奇数フィールドでは
8箇所、それぞれ同図(C)に示したようなパルス列か
ら構成されるコピーガードパルスが挿入してあり、垂直
同期信号の前部にも、谷フィールドに1箇所ずつ同様の
パルス列からなるコピーガードパルスが挿入しである。

オンスクリーン表示回路により表示される映像の挿入位
置が、画面の左右方向に対しては内蔵の自励発振回路の
発振パルスの計数値にもとづいて定められるのに対し、
画面の上下方向については、磁気テープから読み出され
た水平同期信号の計数値にもとづいて定められるため、
水平同期信号数が多く含まれる複製防止磁気テープでは
、通常の挿入位置よりも画面の上にずれた位置にオンス
クリーン表示がなされてしまい、しかも偶数フィールド
と奇数フィールドで垂直同期信号後部のコピーガードパ
ルスの数が7個と8個のように異なることに原因があっ
た。このため、複製防止処理された磁気テープには、磁
気テープの再生に関連した種々の情報を単純にオンスク
リーン表示するわけにいかず、今後増加が予想されるこ
の種の磁気テープに対する対抗処置を早期に実施しない
限り、多様化するユーザの要望に応えきれなくなる等の
問題点があった。
