Among conventional washing machines, those with rotary vanes that generate a water flow using rotary vanes to achieve the cleaning action essentially use a water flow to move the laundry, so they require a large washing tank volume relative to the amount of laundry. need,
This means that the amount that can be washed at one time is small. Furthermore, when the amount of cloth is small, the water flow becomes extremely strong, resulting in excessive cleaning, while when the amount of cloth increases, the water flow rate decreases and the cleaning effect tends to decrease rapidly. Furthermore, since the laundry and the rotating blades come into contact only incidentally and only partially, it is not possible to expect a scrubbing effect over the entire laundry, and on the contrary, the laundry may be partially damaged.

On the other hand, a new method has recently been developed in which the rotating blades have been removed, in which the entire washing tank is intermittently rotated while containing water and laundry, and the cleaning effect is obtained by the speed difference between the water and the laundry. Although this method has the advantage of not damaging the laundry, it has the disadvantage that the speed difference between the laundry and water is small and the movement is simple, resulting in low cleaning effectiveness. .

Therefore, the purpose of this invention is to be able to expect better cleaning effects and prevention of fabric damage than conventional methods without using conventional rotary blades or the rotation of the entire washing tank, as well as to wash a large amount of clothes at one time, and to achieve appropriate cleaning effects. To provide a washing machine that can maintain a wide range of laundry amounts.

In this invention, the peripheral wall of the washing tank is formed by a fixed peripheral wall located above and a movable peripheral wall located below, and the laundry is stored together with water in such a washing tank, and the movable peripheral wall is rotated forward and backward. so that the laundry is made to flow mainly due to the frictional force of contact with the movable peripheral wall part, and is washed by a synergistic effect with the frictional force received from the fixed peripheral wall part in the upper part,
This provides a scrubbing effect due to the friction between the fixed peripheral wall and the movable peripheral wall of the laundry and the friction between the laundry, and the fact that the laundry receives forces in different directions from the fixed peripheral wall and the movable peripheral wall. In addition, a protrusion protruding inward is provided on the fixed peripheral wall, and the protrusion height of this protrusion is low near the specified water level during washing, and low when underwater. By setting the height higher than that, the effective movement of the laundry is further enhanced and the washing effect is further improved. This is designed to prevent the floor surface from getting wet with water as much as possible.

Reference numeral 1 denotes an outer box, inside of which a water receiving tank 2 is disposed, which is elastically supported via a hanging rod mechanism 3 so as to be swingable. Reference numeral 4 designates a washing tank, which essentially consists of a fixed surrounding wall and a movable surrounding wall located below the fixed surrounding wall. This is achieved by a combination of a fixed tank 5 that rotates at high speed and is stopped during washing, and an agitator 6 shaped like a shallow container. To explain this in detail below, the fixed tank 5 is placed in the water receiving tank 2 and its outer bottom is connected to the hollow dehydration shaft 7, and the container-shaped stirring body 6 is arranged along the inner circumferential wall of the fixed tank 5. The outer bottom part is connected to the washing shaft 8. At this time, the height of the circumferential wall of the container-shaped stirring body 6 is approximately half the height or depth of the fixed tank 5, and the diameter is set within a range that allows rotation within the fixed tank 5. In addition, 9 is an annular cover fitted into the upper end opening of the water receiving tank 2. In addition, the fixed tank 5 is a tank lower part 5a.
The tank upper part 5b has a circumferential wall that is curved so that its diameter gradually decreases upward, and a balancer 10 in which liquid is sealed is integrally formed at the upper end of the tank upper part 5b. A plurality of inwardly protruding protrusions 11 are formed at intervals in the circumferential direction on the peripheral wall of the portion of the fixed tank 5 exposed upward from the container-shaped agitator 6, that is, the tank top 5b. In this case, the protruding tip of the protruding portion 11 has a gentle slope shape that protrudes inward as it goes downward.
(b) Due to the curvature of the peripheral wall, the protrusion height of the protrusion 11 increases as it goes downward, and the upper end of the protrusion 11 is set at the specified water level for washing (shown by the two-dot chain line in Fig. 1). The protrusion 11 is set at approximately the same height.
The height of the protrusion from the inner circumferential surface of the tank upper part 5b is low near the specified water level, and becomes higher underwater, that is, as the tank is sunk deeper into the water. On the other hand, in this embodiment, the washing tank 4 also serves as a dehydration tank, and for this purpose, dehydration holes 12 and 1 are provided in the peripheral wall of the fixed tank 5 and the peripheral wall of the container-shaped stirring body 6, respectively.
3 is formed. In this case, protrusions 14 and grooves 15 are alternately formed on the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the container-shaped stirring body 6.
3 to improve the ability to remove water shaken off from the laundry. Reference numeral 16 denotes a power control mechanism, which transmits the rotational force of the washing machine motor 17 to the washing shaft 8 at a reduced speed and alternately reverses during washing, and transmits it to the spin-driving shaft 7 and the washing shaft 8 during spin-drying to rotate the rotational power of the washing machine motor 17 to the fixed tank 5. A deceleration mechanism, a clutch mechanism, a brake mechanism, etc. are built in to rotate the stirrer 6 integrally with the container-shaped stirring body 6. 18 is a timer, which automatically controls each process from washing to final dehydration. Reference numeral 19 is a drain valve, which drains the water in the washing tank 4 from the bottom of the water receiving tank 2 to the drain hose 2.
0 to the outside of the machine.

In the above configuration, during the washing operation, the fixed tank 5 is restrained by the brake mechanism so as not to rotate, and the container-shaped agitator 6 is rotated forward and backward, so that the upper part of the fixed tank 5 is exposed upward from the peripheral wall of the container-shaped agitator 6. The peripheral wall part is made to function as a fixed peripheral wall part of the peripheral wall of the washing tank 4, and the peripheral wall of the container-shaped stirring body 6 is made to function as a movable peripheral wall part.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. During washing, water is supplied into the water receiving tank 2 and thus into the washing tank 4 up to the specified water level shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 1, and the laundry is thrown in. The washing operation is carried out by rotating only the container-shaped agitator 6 in forward and reverse directions while the fixed tank 5 is restrained by a brake mechanism so as not to rotate. In this embodiment, the rotational speed of the container-shaped stirring body 6 is within the range of 120 to 180 rotations per minute, and the direction of rotation is reversed approximately every 2 to 3 rotations.

In such a washing operation, since the laundry comes into contact with the peripheral wall of the container-shaped agitator 6 and the peripheral wall of the fixed tank 5, rotational force is generated from the container-shaped agitator 6 in the lower part due to frictional contact therewith. The upper part receives a restraining force due to frictional contact with the fixed tank 5, and by simultaneously receiving these frictional forces in different directions, it gives a twisting or compressing effect to the laundry, and this also reverses the direction of rotation of the container-shaped agitator 6. At the same time, the laundry is pushed toward the circumferential wall of the container-shaped agitator 6 by the centrifugal force accompanying the rotation of the container-shaped agitator 6, and the reaction is received inward from the circumferential wall of the upper fixed tank 5. This also creates the effect of flipping it up and down, giving it a complex movement. At this time, the laundry to which rotational force is applied from the container-shaped agitator 6 moves in the circumferential direction while coming into frictional contact with the upper circumferential wall of the fixed tub 5, but when it encounters the protrusion 11, the laundry
It receives a large resistance force from the protrusion 11 and is further strongly rubbed, and also receives a strong effect of being turned upside down due to the synergistic effect of the strong resistance force received from the protrusion 11 and the rotational force received from the container-shaped stirring body 6, and furthermore, the protrusion 11 By trying to overcome this, it is pushed towards the center of the washing tank 4. In this way, the presence of the protrusion 11 makes the movement of the laundry more complicated, and the laundry is more actively swapped vertically and radially, that is, flipped upside down, so that the entire laundry is evenly washed. It is something that can be done.

As mentioned above, the laundry undergoes complicated movements, and this movement causes large friction between the cloths, large friction with the upper circumferential wall of the fixed tank 5 and the circumferential wall of the container-shaped agitator 6, and furthermore, from the protrusion 11. While it is scrubbed by the large frictional force it receives, it is also washed by a type of massaging effect caused by repeated twisting and pressure, and its cleaning effect is second to none.
As shown in Figure 2 as an example of comparative experimental results, in Figure 2, curve A is based on the present invention, curve B is based on the conventional rotary vane system, and curve C is based on the cleaning method considered prior to this invention. The cleaning ratio characteristics when using the tank rotation method are shown, and it can be seen that the cleaning performance according to the present invention is superior.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, the laundry is moved by frictional contact with the upper circumferential wall of the fixed tank 5 and the circumferential wall of the container-shaped agitator 6, so as the amount of laundry increases, the frictional force also increases, and the movement of the laundry due to the increase in the amount of laundry increases. The degree of deterioration is small, and therefore the rate of deterioration of the cleaning effect is small. Moreover, when the amount of laundry is small, the container-shaped agitator 6
The contact frequency with the peripheral wall of the tank is low, and the contact friction force is extremely small. Mainly, the container-shaped agitator 6, which has a large surface area, rotates at a low speed, and is washed by the water flow generated over almost the entire inside of the fixed tank 5. Therefore, unlike the conventional rotating blade system, the water flow does not become extremely strong, so excessive cleaning does not occur, and an appropriate degree of cleaning can be ensured regardless of the amount of cloth. These facts mean that the range of cloth amounts that can maintain an appropriate cleaning effect is wider than in the case of the prior art described above (see FIG. 2).

By the way, in the washing method of the present invention, since the laundry is rotated by frictional contact with the container-shaped agitator 6,
Its rotational force is greater than that of conventional washing methods. For this reason, if a protrusion is provided on the peripheral wall of the fixed tank 5, when the water flow or the laundry, especially the laundry near the water surface, collides with the protrusion, the water will splash and the water will flow out from the annular cover 9. This results in problems such as the floor surface getting wet or a large amount of foam being generated when washing with detergent. However, according to the present invention, the protrusion height of the protrusion 11 is determined to be low near the specified water level and higher underwater, so that even if water flow or laundry collides with the protrusion 11, the protrusion Since the height near the water surface is low, there is almost no chance of water splashing or bubbles forming, and even if water splashes or bubbles occur, the amount is small, especially when water splashes. Even if it does, the force is not so strong that it will not jump out of the annular cover 9. Moreover, while preventing water splashing and the generation of bubbles, the protrusion 11
Since the height of the protrusion in the water is high, there is no risk that the original function of the protrusion 11, that is, the function of exerting a large resistance force on the rotating laundry, will be impaired.

The dewatering operation in this embodiment is carried out by releasing the fixed tank 5 from the brake mechanism after draining water by opening the drain valve 19, and then rotating the fixed tank 5 and the container-shaped stirring body 6 together in one direction. It is something.

Next, FIGS. 3 and 4 show other different embodiments of the present invention. In both of these embodiments, the peripheral wall of the tank upper part 5b of the fixed tank 5 is straight without being curved. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, by tilting the upper part of the protrusion 21,
The protrusion height of the protrusion 21 is low near the specified water level,
In the water, it's higher than that. Further, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the protrusion 22 is formed in a substantially step-like shape with the height decreasing toward the upper level, so that the protrusion height of the protrusion 22 is low near the specified water level and becomes higher underwater. That's what I do. In addition, in FIGS. 3 and 4, the prescribed water level is shown by a chain double-dashed line. Even with this configuration, it is possible to obtain the same effects as in the above-mentioned embodiment.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and may be applied to washing machines that do not have a dehydrating function. It is sufficient to adopt a configuration in which the pear water receiving tank is removed so as to store the pear water. It goes without saying that the shapes of the fixed and movable peripheral walls that form the peripheral wall of the washing tank are not limited to the combination of the fixed tank and the container-shaped stirring body as described above.

According to the present invention, as described above, the laundry is moved mainly through the contact between the fixed peripheral wall and the movable peripheral wall and by the synergistic effect of the respective frictional forces. It can be secured even if there are many
Therefore, when the volume of the washing tank is the same, the amount of laundry that can be washed at one time is much larger than that of conventional washing machines.
In addition to being expected to have a greater cleaning effect than before, there is less damage to the cloth and the range of cloth amounts that can maintain an appropriate cleaning effect is wide, so it is possible to avoid excessive or insufficient cleaning effects depending on the amount of cloth.
Furthermore, according to the present invention, a protrusion that protrudes inward is provided on the fixed peripheral wall, and the protrusion height of this protrusion is set to be low near the specified water level and higher underwater, so that the above-mentioned In the case where the laundry is basically moved by the synergistic effect of the frictional force between the fixed peripheral wall and the movable peripheral wall, the protrusion allows the fixed peripheral wall to touch the laundry. It is possible to increase the resistance force applied, which facilitates the vertical and radial rotation of the laundry, resulting in higher cleaning effects, even and uniform washing, and the laundry being placed on the protrusions. It is effective in preventing as much as possible the splashing of water and the generation of large amounts of bubbles due to the collision of water streams.
