B. Prior art Rubber fenders with a trapezoidal cross section, such as an inverted V-shape or an inverted Y-shape, are installed on the quay walls of port facilities in order to absorb shock when a ship comes alongside and prevent damage to the ship's hull. ing. Such rubber fenders are interposed between the ship's hull and the quay when moored, and are made of polycarbonate, polyethylene, polyamide, tetrafluoroethylene, etc. at the top of the material for the purpose of protecting the ship's side from damage caused by rubbing. In many cases, a shock absorbing plate made of low-friction plastic is attached. However, if the plastic impact plate made of a single rigid plate is fixed to a flexible rubber fender, when an excessive bending moment is applied locally to the impact plate, the impact plate will be damaged. There was a danger that the impact plate would be damaged. In order to avoid such a risk, the applicant of the present invention proposed in Utility Model Application No. 57-48734 (Utility Model Application No. 58-153218) that the above-mentioned impact receiving plate be installed along the longitudinal direction of the fender. The proposed method is to divide the impact plate into multiple plates to alleviate the concentrated bending moment load and improve the damage prevention function of the impact plate. It is true that by fixing such split-type impact plates to rubber fenders, the number of scratching accidents on the ship's side and damage to the impact plate was greatly reduced. As a result of a more detailed study of the load conditions of impact loads on rubber fenders having molded impact plates, it was found that damage to the impact plates may occur even in the rubber fenders proposed in the earlier application. was recognized. To explain in more detail, the berthing load of a ship under actual usage conditions is not necessarily applied only to the top side of the impact plate 6 as shown by arrow a or arrow b in FIG. First, as shown by arrow c, loads may be applied from the lateral direction, and it is unclear whether the impact receiving plate 6 has sufficient durability for practical use against such lateral loads. There were quite a few points. In addition, attach the impact plate to the rubber fender 1 with bolts.
It was also observed that when fixing to the holder, the fixed part became brittle due to excessive tightening, and the fixed part was damaged due to the lateral load.

In these drawings, the impact plate 6 has JIS hardness.
It is a plate-shaped member made of hard rubber of 70 or more, more preferably 85 or more, or a hard plastic material such as polyethylene, polyamide, tetrafluoroethylene, etc., and is fixed to the protection plate 5 described later with tightening bolts 9. ing. On the other hand, a protection plate 5 made of mild steel or hard plastic is fixed to a mounting steel plate 7 embedded in the impact-receiving top part 2 using tightening bolts 8.

The mounting steel plate 7 is provided with the protective plate 5 and the impact plate 6 so that it will not be locally compressed and permanently deformed by the compressive load applied to the fender when a ship comes alongside. It is preferable that it is divided in the same way as . Further, when fixing the impact plate 6 to the protection plate 5, excessive tightening by the tightening bolts 9 is avoided, and the protection plate 5 is firmly fixed to the rubber fender 1. The plate 5 is fastened to a mounting steel plate 7 by tightening bolts 8. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 3, instead of using the tightening bolt 9, a tightening bolt 8' having a bush 10 fitted therein is prepared, and the tightening bolt is inserted through the bolt of the impact plate 6. The bolt 8' is inserted into the hole 11, and the screw thread 12 formed at the tip of the tightening bolt 8' is screwed into the threaded groove 12' formed in the bolt insertion hole B of the mounting steel plate 7. It is also possible to fasten the impact plate 6 to the mounting steel plate 7.

The rubber fender 1 is a hollow molded product having a substantially symmetrical trapezoidal cross section, for example, an inverted Y-shaped cross section (FIG. 2) or an inverted V-shaped cross section (FIG. 3), and has slanted legs. It is fixed to a quay wall constituent member (not shown) using attachment parts 4, 4 extending outward from the tips of 3, 3. When a compressive load is applied to the rubber fender 1 via the impact receiving plate 6, elastic deformation occurs in the rubber fender due to the compressive load. The amount of deformation of the fender 1 due to this compressive load varies depending on the magnitude and direction of the compressive load, the cross-sectional shape of the fender, etc., but generally, as shown in FIG. Large impact receiving top 2
Small on the side. It has been confirmed from the experimental results of the inventors that almost no deformation occurs in the section from the surface of the impact-receiving top part 2 to approximately 1/3 of the thickness of the impact-receiving part.

Therefore, in order to eliminate the influence of elastic deformation of the rubber fender 1 and ensure a fixed state with excellent peeling resistance,
It is preferable that the mounting steel plate 7 is buried so as to be located within approximately ⅓ of the thickness of the impact receiving portion from the surface of the impact receiving top portion 2 .

E. Effects of the invention As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention divides the protection plate and the impact plate along the longitudinal direction of the fender, thereby preventing damage caused by irregular compressive loads when ships come alongside. This effectively prevents damage to the impact receiving plate.

In addition, in the present invention, the impact plate is made of a hard rubber or hard plastic material with low friction, and the impact plate is protected by a rubber fender with good impact energy absorption performance. Since it is joined through a plate, it can exhibit an excellent buffering effect against impact energy when a ship comes alongside. In addition, since the ship's side is protected by a low-friction impact plate, the ship's side is subject to scratches caused by rubbing when moored to a quay, which is a drawback found in conventional fender materials. This problem can also be reliably solved by the present invention.
